NOVEMBER 29TH, 2022.

She was ok. She knew now that she was gonna continue her life like she always does. Even if she still has a slight bit of numbness on the inside, she knew that that was only temporary. She would be ok someday, and she would allow herself to be.

It was currently November 29th 2022, and Lorraine was sitting at the dining room table of her childhood home, eating a meal that Ethan had brought from Dairy Queen, making her cackle at the fact he got it for her just cause she said it was her favorite quick food place.

Billy finally let them leave the house with his permission, once she told him where they were going, and why.

She decided that she was done feeling sorry for herself, and got out of bed, hopped in an uber, and was gonna explore her childhood home for the first time in almost two tears starting in June.

Her home was small.. with only two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, kitchen, a small fenced backyard, and a laundry room.

She had so many memories in all of these parts of her home. It hurt to say the least, but she knew that this acceptance was healthy for her. She was doing something that was good for her for the first time in god knows how long.

She took Ethan with her for his own fun, and he was currently running up to her childhood room in a hurry to see what it looked like out of curiosity after they both finished their food from Diary Queen.

"Settle down Ethan, you'll have plenty of time to see it!" she says in a shout, seeing as he was already darting up the stairs.

She smiled at his silliness, and followed him up, to see his reaction to her room, which honestly.. was as small as it could possibly be.

Her room was as small as she remembered in being. She had white walls, and a light brown hardwood floor that her dad laid down by hand.
She smiled at the memory, then continued looking. She chuckled softly when she saw a medium sized hole in her wall she had covered with a piece of paper, after accidentally cartwheeling into it.

Ethan was looking at her bundle of stuffed animals still organized on her bed. "What's this ones name?" he says jokingly while picking up a small frog. She chuckled and replied with, "Ferguson" making him cackle at the name.

Her room was neatly organized, seeing as she was a control freak when she was younger, and didn't ever want her room getting even the slightest bit dirty.

Ethan sprawled out on her bed, making dust poof up, and him to cough and wave his hand in the air.

Lorraine laid down next to him, and held out her hand to his.

"Is it like you remember it being? As cosy I mean." Ethan says while turning his head to look at her with a tiny grin plastered on his face, and kissing her hand that was in his.

"It is.. yea." She says, looking back at him with a small smile, before pecking his lips, earning a smile from Ethan, and him to turn on his side, leaning his head on his hand to look at her.

They laid like that for a few minutes, making conversation about memories of when she lived there with her mother and father, making Ethan look intently at her, with his undivided attention.
He tucked her hair behind her ear, smiled, and nodded at her stories, and he occasionally asked her questions about some of her stories.

Ethan all of a sudden got up and took her with him making her stand up, and took her hands in his, making her curious as to what he was doing.

"I'm so in love with you Lorraine." Ethan says while putting his hand on both sides of her face and pecking her lips with his, making her smile at him, with love clearly in her eyes, but a curious look on her face nonetheless.

"I think as soon as I locked eyes with you, I knew you were someone special." he said in a small voice, while clearing his throat nervously, and rubbing his finger over her hand.

That's when Ethan got down on one knee, and took her hands in his, making Lorraine go wide eyed and her knees go weak for half a second.

"Lorraine.. will you do me the pleasure of marrying me?" Ethan said with a small almost unrecognizable smile on his face and he bit the bottom of his lower lip- a common sign of nervousness out of Ethan.

Ethan reached into his pocket and took out a glistening silver band with a diamond on the top of it.. an engagement ring. A beautiful one on top of that.

He held it up with his left hand, with his right in hers, while making eye contact with her.

"I- I will.. oh god yes." Lorraine says, dragging him off his knee and kissing him hotly on the mouth, making him grin into the kiss.

He pulled back after a bit to grin at her, showing his teeth, making her grin back at him, leaning her forehead to his and a tear to fall down her face out of happiness.

Ethan wipes the tear off her cheek and gently puts his hand around her waist, making her body go against his.

Ethan takes her left hand, and slides the ring on her ring finger, and locks their hands together, making her kiss all over his face, earning a boyish giggle from Ethan, and a tearful smile from her as she laughs at her happiness.

After that, they got in the car and drove to random roads and just around the town and city for fun, just listening to music, and talking, soaking in each others presence.

Lorraine was so madly, tragically in love. Lorraine didn't have a thought in her brain that was telling her to be anywhere else in the world other than with him, happy and in love.

Being with Ethan was the happiest she's ever remembered feeling. Being with him made her feel nothing but happiness, and it made her forget why of if she was sad.
Ethan being with Lorraine made him feel at peace with himself. For so many years, being alone was a good feeling, but how when he's alone the only thing on his mind was the next time he could be with her.

The song "Sweet Nothing" by Taylor Swift was blasting in the car, with the windows down, snow on the ground, and Ethan driving the car, with his left hand on the wheel, right hand in hers, and her happily glowing in the sun beating down on her skin and the snow.

Love for Lorraine was sweetened ever since she met him, and she couldn't imagine a life without him in it or him playing a vital part of it.

Ethan couldn't stop smiling ever since she said yes. His face was molded into that signature smile of his. He wanted to feel like this forever, happy and always next to her.

Love for Ethan was a rarity, that was turned into normality ever since he met Lorraine on that day in October. He wanted to have a life with her, and he couldn't imagine one without her.

The wind was blowing on her face, constantly looking back at Ethan just go see his face, to make sure this was all real, and not some wonderful dream.

Ethan looked at the road in front of him with the sun glowing ok his skin, making him look radiant, while he thought of the hand that was currently in his.

'What a wonderful life we're gonna make together once this was all over and done with' Ethan couldn't help but think for the tenth time since they left the house hand in hand.

They was young, they were in love, and they couldn't imagine it any other way.
