The next day was a school day and Madison woke up feeling very tired, her body ached from the pain of the cruciatus curses that had been inflicted on her, she looked for the runes on her skin but could see none, they had been absorbed completely. The young witch looked at herself in the mirror, her naked self, her hair fell until her waist dark and heavy, her eyes had more yellow in them than usual. She played the scene of how Draco took her the night before, how he made her feel like he would live and breathe her.
She smiled.
"Happy, are we?" He asked caressing her hair, standing tall behind her, getting a shy smile from her in return.
"Are you happy?"
"The happiest I've ever been" he hugged her from behind, placing a kiss on the top of her head.
Draco noticed her smile fading. He knew her so well to know that she was thinking about her encounter with Lord Voldemort at the end of the week, and how her magic hadn't worked, and her life was pretty much unpredictable.
"Madi, everything will be ok" he turned her around to place a soft kiss on her lips.
They went on about their classes, Draco made sure to hold her hand through the halls, showing everyone how they were together as couple and not as friends. He would eventually pull her in a quick passionate kiss in an alcove where no one could tell on them to Umbridge.
Madison felt light and at peace seeing how happy he was. The only time he left her alone was when he had to report and spy on the students that were doing "elicit" activities. Which was when she had time to study and read about anything she could that would help her in some way.
It was a Thursday night when she was making her way to her dorm, she would pack her things for the weekend at her house, a day she dreaded, however, the worry had consumed her so much that at that moment she just wanted to get it over with.
Madison saw a blue light shinning from under her door, she widened her eye and looked around to see if anyone else had noticed quickly hurrying inside.
"What are you doing here, Potter? How did you even get in?"
She already knew it was him, the chosen one.
"Well, hello to you too..." he wasn't speaking with his nice tone, his jaw clenched.
"Hey... sorry, but seriously, what are you doing here?" She picked up the rug to put under her door, where the light from his patronus escaped the halls.
"You're officially dating him now? Is that it? You aren't allowed to even look at me now?"
She rolled her eyes, huffing her way to sit next to him on the recamier at the footboard of her bed.
"Yes, we're together" she affirmed, "I don't know what else to say to you Potter, I mean we never stood a chance...really, I- What did you think would happen, huh? I'd go on to the Dark Lord then come back to be with you as a happy teenage couple?" She shook her head as she spoke, locking eyes with him.
"Did you ever stop to think about why he never asked you to be his girlfriend before? Why now?"
She stopped mid thought to assimilate the words he had said.
"Just say it, stop pretending to be nice and spit it out how you want to"
He stood up in front of her, looking down.
"Alright, I'll say it. He's a liar and he only claimed you now because he saw that I had interest in you, c'mon Madison don't be blind"
She stood up to be at eye level with him, a puzzled expression on her face from the audacity Harry had, to think he knew everything so well.
