Yumiko sighed as the bell rang, signalling the beginning of lunch break, packing up her school supplies as Yukako talked to her, not caring wether she was listening or not.
Yumiko and Yukako headed for the door to meet up with the guys before being stopped by a large boy and his posse.
"You look new," he said, leaning against the doorframe, "what's your name sweetheart?"
Yukako rolled her eyes, "shove off asshole," she grumbled.
"No can do Yamagishi, I've got a goal," the boy chuckled.
"Go fuck yourself," Yumiko hissed.
"Oh she's feisty!"
Yumiko seethed, staring angrily into the boy's eyes, "you don't want to test me."
"Sure, I bet you couldn't even move me if you tried," the boy said, guffawing.
"Hey, bitch!"
The boy turned around, his posse copying his actions as he came face to face with Josuke, who towered over him.
"What'd you call me?" The boy asked.
"I called you a bitch," Josuke growled, "leave my friends alone."
"Or what? You gonna serenade me Prince boy?" The guy teased, "hit me with some fancy dance moves?"
A tap on his shoulder made him turn around once more, his jaw being met with a sharp upper cut, courtesy of Yumiko.
"Oh shut up," she complained, rolling her eyes, "your voice is getting on my nerves."
The boy dropped down to the ground, Yumiko and Yukako stepping over him, leaving the posse behind as Josuke brought them to an empty classroom where Okuyasu and Koichi were waiting.
"What took you guys so long?" Koichi asked as Yumiko took a seat on a desk while Yukako sat next to him.
"That stupid transfer and his posse, they decided to mess with Yumiko," Josuke explained, sitting next to Okuyasu, "but Yumiko thoroughly impressed me, she can pack a hard punch," Josuke chuckled.
Yumiko smiled, accepting his compliment as she opened her lunch.
"I have more than one reason for going to the gym," Yumiko said with a grin, "what are you reading Okuyasu?"
"I was just about to tell you," Okuyasu said, "apparently a man died in the attic of the old house up on the hill," Okuyasu said, showing Josuke the paper.
"Why would anyone that age go into the old house?" Josuke asked, scanning through the article.
"How old was he?"
"57, there was no car there and the autopsy says it was a heart attack."
"What 57 year old would walk up to an abandoned house, and have a heart attack in the attic?"
"Hold on, I know this guy!" Josuke said, shocked, "he was an officer who worked with my Grandpa!"
"Did he seem like he was prone to a heart attack?" Yumiko asked.
"No, probably the healthiest guy in the force…this is weird," Josuke mumbled.
"Well, I think this semester just got a lot more interesting," Yukako said with a small grin.

"Why was your first instinct to go to the house?" Koichi asked, watching as Josuke tried to push the door open, struggling.
"It's the scene of the crime Koichi!" Josuke strained, the plastic gloves he was wearing to protect evidence rubbing against his hands, "it's the first place you should go!"
