The food was cheap and not that tasteful but, at least, his master's stomach would have something in. The day before, the young man didn't eat at all. And the day before again, he just had a little breakfast. Not really good for health.
The spiritual being was looking around himself, his burger barely eaten and his soda almost empty, hopeless to see someone who could speak Japanese. It was in moments like those he wished he could speak English. People in this town, Capulet, were both speaking Italian and English.
He was lucky he could order something and paid without having to say a single word. Hopefully, his phone still had money in it to pay like this. Knowing his master, he would have forgotten about it.
Lost in another country, another dimension, that what they supposed with the team before a demons' attack had them split up by force, they didn't even know why anyone would harm them in another world. Was it because of Loki? It couldn't be anyone but Loki, this dumbass bitch of a proud sadist and... calm down. Sometime, the godly Persona was a real pain in the back. He meant well, most of the time, but his jokester's side was a bit too much for, well, a great part of the team.
An odd man, with a weird blue aura, came close to the owner of the fast-food the creature has paid his food. They were talking a bit, the shopkeeper pointing the spiritual being quickly. He didn't like that and not only because it was rude. The odd man, he had pure white hair and the clearest blue eyes ever, looked at him, seemed to thank the merchant, and came closer to him.
Once in front of him, the man started speaking in Japanese.
"Are you Kitagawa Yusuke?"
What an odd man. How could a stranger know about his master's full name? It was just really odd. But he would just play along, play pretend to be Yusuke, and remained cautious.
"Yes. But you, who are you?"
This man must understand how he seemed weird. Especially walking in the street with a real katana. Because it couldn't be anything else but a real katana. Made to slice and did real damages.
Who did that? Even theirs was a fake, still made of steel, but still a decorative one. Well, that was true it never mattered to Mementos and the shadows but still.
"My name is Vergil Sparda. A hunter from the Devil May Cry." Clear but didn't mean much. How could a hunter know his name? What was a devil hunter, by the way? And what was the Devil May Cry? "I can see the questions in your eyes. But you don't need to be so tense. I know your name because of Lavenza."
At least, he noticed his nervousness and try to say something to sooth him. But really? Lavenza? Why would she give his master's name to a perfect stranger? "How do you know about Lavenza?"
Simple and clear. He would rather being frank than a coward.
Vergil sighed and, sitting in front of the weird young man, he explained everything, but in a short way, about what the Devil May Cry was, why they got here and how the Velvet Room contacted them.
The Japanese boy, creature, Vergil wasn't sure anymore, seemed confused but to understand better each time the hunter opened his mouth. The hunter wasn't even sure anymore he was really talking to Fox. But that was another kind of problem.
Finishing to eat, Yusuke finally said something.
"I understand."
Vergil was still unsure he was really talking to Yusuke; his aura was odd, but no one looked like Yusuke in town, but at least he seemed to accept to follow him. If it were not him, Vergil could try to fool him by saying things about Yusuke that a demon wasn't supposed to know. Maybe he could ask question about Goemon.
"And your Persona? Ishikawa Goemon? What happened to him?"
The young man seemed suddenly so tense. He was nervous and asked how the man could know Goemon's name. So, Vergil explained to him that's because of Lavenza. Like his son said to the young girl, it would be hard to found someone while not knowing a thing about them. And knowing the Persona's name could help to find them. After all, it would be easier to look after some of them while knowing their interests.
The young man, Vergil was still unsure about it, agreed with the devil hunter, saying that he believed him for what he just said. After all, no one was supposed to know about Goemon's name... about his real name since his human was asleep in the back of their mind. The Persona didn't know how they managed to force Yusuke into this slumber, but it was not because of a poisoned apple like Snow White, which was sure.
And that was the moment when Vergil realise those to whom he was really talking. Ishikawa Goemon, Yusuke's Persona, controlling the human's body. But how was it possible?
It was because of the strength of their bond. Something they both work hard on to be able to do this kind of things. Every Phantoms was able to, even Mona with Zorro. They knew other teams never done that but that was their choice, and they will never accept to be criticised for this.
So surprised he barely hide it, Vergil proposed to the Persona to move to a safe place: the Devil May Cry would be nice. Speaking of, why did he looked like he had been beaten off? His clothes were a mess, being torn and dirty.
While Goemon explain calmly about his demons' problem, he asked if the hunter knew why they had been attacked. Maybe Lavenza knew and tell them? Was it because of Loki's behaviour? If it were one the Persona being the problem, it could be only Loki. Don't get him wrong, he really liked he's comrade, but he also knew not everyone was able to stand him.
... no... the hunter who summoned them was afraid of Arsène's and Sathanaël's devil type, along with the power they got with their human, Ren. But Vergil could only agree. From what he understood, Loki was the most unstable of them all.
And if Vergil noticed the anger this new awakened inside the spiritual being, he didn't say a thing. At least, his breach problems were solved. Knowing what he was looking for, he just had to use the Yamato the good way. Everything was settled in a blink.
Just needed to find a way to get the Phantoms back to their home.
