Some Painful Thoughts

Everything hurts.

Her body, her head, her heart, everything hurts. She was so tired.

And Diego was barely awake in her arms. Poor thing. Not only the demons had been horrible to him, but also those damn human brats. They attacked him while she wasn't looking, throwing rocks at her when she grabbed her partner from their dirty hands.

She hated that place so much.

Her evening should have been dreamy. But it turned out to be a real nightmare.

While their humans should have a nice outing at a fancy restaurant, they also should have a nice dinner night for themselves. Except their night would have come with smokes for her and her favourite samurai, alcohols, crude jokes, sexual innuendos, then real sex with every people of the group. Her favourite times, so delicious and hot.

Her plans for the night, ruined.

She hated it.

She hated everything about that night.

Leaning against a wall, her human's legs too weak to carry her more, she felt so tired. Her partner's dress, so beautiful et sexy red dress, was destroyed, letting her almost nude in the harsh cold. Her long and untied hair didn't bring her any warmth. She hated that shitty feeling. She hated feeling so shitty, helpless, and miserable.

Everything around was so blurry and confused. Was she still in Italy? Or was she back in Japan? Where was she? Where were they? She didn't know anymore. Everything around was so blurry and confused.

For the first time since the last two and half centuries, Carmen felt like her world was falling into pieces. Why couldn't she have a peaceful life? Why couldn't Ann and she have a happy life? She even found men she was comfortable being herself with. Something she would have never believe could happen to her. Why everything had to end so soon?

It was so unfair. It was so fucking unfair! To punish them because they love in an unusual way. It was not fair!

Suddenly, she felt some leather covering her and Diego. Then, two strong arms carrying her in a bridal style. It was not one of her lovers. No one had arms like that on their team.

She opened her eyes, didn't know when she closed them, to see a man with pure white hair, some stubble on the face, and the purest blue eyes she ever seen. Around both her and her partner's hurt and tired body, she could feel some kind of leather. She checked out to see a bright red leather coat. The man gave her his coat, letting himself with only his black shirt with a deep v-cut collar, allowing her to see some glorious and strong man chest. Normally, she would have said a thing about the chest hair, she hated it, but she didn't have the strength to say a thing.

She just let the man carry her. She wasn't sure how, but she knew she could feel safe in those strong arms. This man was not like the others she used to know.

He felt more like Ren and Arsène. The tender kind of demon. The perfect kind of devil. The loveliest one. She loved them.

Even though she hated Arsène at first, his womanizer reputation being a reason of why she didn't want to hear a word from him at the beginning of their relationship. Gods bless Diego, William and Goemon for the way they show her how wrong she was.

The man suddenly stopped in front of a door. He knocked; his arms full of her not allowing him to open the door. Someone opened the door. Someone who called her name. She turned her head to see who spoke, it was Jeanne.

Poor love, she looked so worried.

Inside, the team was almost complete: Goemon was sitting on one couch, looking so tense that it was obvious he would take a smoke if it wasn't for the sake of Yusuke's lungs; Jeanne was guiding the man who carried her, closing the door behind them, to the couch so he can set the gipsy in it; Charlotte was laying on the top of Jean, forcing him to stay down on in couch; Jean was topless, a thick bandage around his torso, his skin paler than usual and looking so weak, he looked really bothered by the fact he wasn't allowed to stand up; Robin was pacing, probably having an internal conversation with Loki; Necro was sitting by the main desk, looking at some files, their eyes showing that they had shut down their emotions; William was sitting next to Goemon, sulking like his human partner could do in this kind of situation. Ren and Arsène were nowhere to be found, worrying Carmen a lot.

Her lovely pirate came closer to her while Jeanne took care of Diego. And while her saviour started to tend her wounds, he explained everything to her. She understood but was barely conscious.

She really needed to sleep.

Ann, where were you, love?
