𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐢𝐭 wasn't a good idea to go to a party. Let alone one that is meant to be a memorial for her brother. But right now she needed the alcohol. Badly. It was a terrible idea to mix alcohol with the drugs that she was prescribed but what's life without risks?
Aurora, Chad and Mindy arrived at the party together. As Aurora couldn't drive, due to obvious reasons, it was Chad who was situated in the drivers seat. He hated driving because he always preferred it if Aurora was the one to drive. Unlike usual, Aurora was sat in the back and Mindy was in the passenger seat. When Aurora made a beeline to the backdoor, Mindy didn't bother to question why, she'd just make a note to ask her brother what he fucked up this time.
The car ride was silent.
As soon as they arrived, Aurora rushed out of the car and into the house. She had spent the day recovering so she was able to walk without her crutches. She knew that if she needed to sit down there would be loads of couches around.
She went straight to the kitchen, hoping to find some alcohol. She did.
By the time Mindy or Chad could find her, she was drunk out of her mind. From looking at her, you wouldn't know that she was attacked just days before.
Chad was the first one to run into the girl. He found her in the kitchen, playing a drinking game with some guy he'd never seen before. The two were giggling and obviously flirting and it make Chad's heart ache.
How I wish that was me.
He felt the anger bubbling up inside of him but before he could make any move towards the two, he was interrupted by his sister.
"You know, if you keep staring, Liv will come over here and whoop your ass."
Chad couldn't even peel his eyes away from Aurora for one second. "No, she won't."
"Are you dumb? Yes, she will." Mindy looked at Chad like he was insane.
