𝐈𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐫. Everything was a blur. When Chad pulled Aurora out of the apartment, Aurora felt like she had downed two bottles of Gin. It reminded her of that night at her house. The night she lost Wes.
She didn't want to lose anyone else.
When she found out they had lost Quinn and Anika, she burst into tears. She didn't know how many more tears she could shed due to the deaths of her friends. She couldn't do it.
She stayed with Mindy after she found out about Anika. She felt for the girl. She didn't know what she would do if she lost Chad.
She prayed she would never have to find out.
There was an eerie silence that overcame the group as they gathered by the ambulance. It was suddenly interrupted when Chad rushed over to Ethan when he arrived at the scene.
"Where were you?" Aurora heard him shout as he shoved the boy against a van.
"What? When?"
"Last night!"
"I had econ. You know this."
Aurora could see that Chad was suspicious of Ethan and wasn't likely to be unconvinced. She excused herself as she went over in an attempt to calm the boy down.
"Bullshit, man! You disappear, my sister and my girl almost get killed!" Aurora froze slightly before smiling to herself a little.
"Dude, I was in a study hall with a hundred other people. You can ask any of them." Ethan explained his alibi, although Chad still didn't believe him. Reluctantly, Chad let Ethan go when he noticed Aurora stood beside him, holding his arm slightly.
"Oh, my god." Ethan exclaimed when he saw two body bags. "Who?"
"Anika and Quinn." Aurora frowned. She knew how close Anika and Ethan were.
"Mindy, I'm so sorry." The curly haired boy approached Mindy.
However, she wasn't having any of it. "Step the fuck back. You're at the top of my list."
