𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝. There were people everywhere. More importantly, the people everywhere were dressed up for Halloween. In scary masks. Ones which gave Aurora shivers.

Unfortunately for Aurora, these people also had no sense of personal space as she kept on being hit by people as they walked past.

"Ow." She stopped briefly to rub her elbow as yet another person bumped into her.

This was a mistake. In the split second she had stopped, she had lost the others as they went down the steps. "Shit." She mumbled. "Chad! Mindy! Tara!"

She assumed her shouts would be nothing compared to the noise of New York, but she was mistaken. Chad's ears perked at the sound of her voice, causing him to notice the absence of the girl and turn to look for her.

It didn't take him long to find her and grab her hand so they could quickly rush back to the others.

"Is this even a good plan?" Aurora heard Ethan complain as they caught up to the group.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to." Tara replied, not even glancing back at the boy.

"So we just peel off and the killer picks us off one by one? No, thank you."

Sam interrupted the pair. "Let's just get to the theater."

"Yes, because it'll be much less scary at the serial killer movie theater." Chad earned a small smile from Aurora, as she dragged him onto the subway. Once the two were safely on the train, Aurora let go of his hand as she was pulled away by Tara.

"Hey! Fuck! Chad! Tara!" Mindy yelled, yet no one seemed to hear. "Rory!" The blonde turned around at the quiet sound of her name and saw Mindy, having not made it onto the train.

"Fuck." Aurora exclaimed. She rushed to go and help Mindy but was beaten to it by Chad.

"Wait, where's Mindy?"

"Mindy! Mindy! Mindy!" Chad yelled as he tried to grab her. Aurora watched, her heart beating.

She didn't make it.

They had been split up.

They were now an easy target for Ghostface.

Aurora immediately grabbed her phone from her pocket and texted Mindy. She nearly dropped her phone due to all the people moving around her. She looked up and found it packed. With Halloween masks.

With Ghostface masks.

"Um, guys." Aurora gained the attention of the others. They all started to realise they were in deep shit.

"Fuck." Sam expressed. "Where's Mindy?"

"She missed the train." Chad replied. "I was going to wait for her but Cute Boy dragged me on."

"Trying to keep us together." Danny spoke.

"By pulling us apart?" Tara questioned.

Before he could reply to defend himself, the lights flickered. Aurora's eyes widened. She winced slightly as her phone buzzed in her pocket.

"It's okay." She let out a breath when she looked at the device. "It's fine. She's with Ethan. She'll meet us there."

"Oh, shit." Chad exclaimed when he noticed a Ghostface getting closer to Aurora. This caused everyone to look in the same direction.

"How many stops do we have?" Tara asked.

Sam leaned over to find out. "Ten." Aurora gulped.

The lights continued flickering as the group nervously looked around. At each stop they kept an eye on anyone who looked remotely suspicious.

"Still nothing from Mindy." Chad said after a few stops. The subway stopped again as Aurora glanced at her phone hopefully.

"Guys?" Aurora looked up at Sam's words. Her heart dropped when she noticed a Ghostface moving towards them at speed.

Out of instinct, Chad grabbed Aurora's hand and moved her behind him.

Aurora was surprised to see that Danny had also moving in front of Sam as the Ghostface came closer. Aurora allowed herself to smile slightly. She was pleased that Sam had found someone who was willing to protect her like she deserved.

They all let out a breath when the Ghostface exited the train.

"I really hate Hallo-fucking-ween." Aurora mumbled.
