𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐝 told Aurora that they needed to talk, Aurora's heart stopped beating. Metaphorically, of course. She was alive and well enough to walk with Chad back to her apartment so they could have the talk. She would be lying if she said she wasn't dreading it. She wasn't too sure what kind of talk they were about to have. It could range from Chad telling Aurora that he wanted to copy her notes to Chad telling her he was Ghostface.

Aurora prayed it wasn't the latter.

Chad was possibly more nervous than Aurora. Not for the same reason though. He was terrified of Aurora's reaction to what he was about to do.

Neither of them wanted to speak first. They just sat on Aurora's bed in awkward silence. Aurora was fiddling with her nails in an attempt to distract herself, and Chad was admiring Aurora picking her nails.

"Sorry." It was mumbled so quietly Chad wasn't even sure he spoke.

"Huh?" Aurora questioned.

"I'm sorry." Aurora's eyebrows furrowed.

"For?"

"Everything." Chad knew he couldn't look at her, so his gaze was on the floor.

"Right, you're going to need to be more specific." A smile made it's way onto Chad's face.

It comforted Chad that she was able to still be herself at this point, rather than be nervous for the coming conversation. It gave him the confidence to speak his truth.

"I think a talk about everything has been long overdue." Chad started. He attempted to look at the girl but it only lasted a split second as he felt the nerves creeping up. "I am so sorry for everything that happened. It was all my fault."

"It wasn't all your fault. I did some shitty stuff." Aurora defended him.

"I started it all. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have the opportunity to do the shitty stuff." Chad could feel his heart being exposed as he continued. "I should have been honest with you from the beginning."
