بے وجہ نہیں روتا کوئی عشق میں غالب
جسے خود سے بڑھ کر چاہو وہ رولاتا ضرور ہے~

(Bewajah nahi rota koi ishq mein Ghalib
Jissey khud se badh ker chaaho woh rulata zaroor hai)

(No one cries without reason in love, Ghalib The one you love more than yourself will surely make you weep)

It had been worst two days of Zaim's life.

He hadn't eaten properly and would skip meals. His parents were extremely perturbed by his condition and wanted to know what was bothering him.

Zaim had become unusually quiet and visibly upset, a stark contrast to his usual self.

"Jaaker pooch kar aayen begum ke barkhudaar ko hua kya hai!"

(Go and ask him that what's wrong with him? )

Zaim's father had had enough of his behavior and longed to see him return to his previous state.

"I've been trying to talk to him for the last two days. He hasn't even gone to his university. I don't know what to do with him. He's acting like a child!"

Zarmeen sobbed in pain inflicted by her only son.

Nonetheless, she mustered her strength and proceeded to her son's room. She knocked gently and heard a faint response, "come in."

" Zaim, bete what is bothering you? Why are you not the same Zaim who used to be the shining star of our house. Where is that Zaim?? We are missing him. Please share what is bothering you my bete!"

Zarmeen's voice trembled with tears that welled up in her eyes.

Zaim felt an overwhelming sense of guilt for his behavior, but he couldn't simply return to his normal life. The fact that Mahrosh was getting married to someone else and had rejected him was too difficult for him to swallow.

"Yeh ishq bhi kitna ullu ka phatta hai nah mom. Full zaleel karke rakh diya hai. Now I can't feel my existence, all i can feel or see is her. Why is she everywhere i see? Why can't i just forget her? Why can't i accept the fact that she is not mine and won't be mine ever? Mine, Zaim Haider's!!"

(This love thing is so absurd, mom. It has made me abject)

Zaim's voice carried acerbity.

Hearing her son's words, his mother gasped, deeply concerned for his well-being.

"Zaim dont be hopeless. We can ask her hand in marriage for you. Just name the girl. Alhamdulillah hamare bete mein koi kami nahi. He is an ideal son and inshallah he'll become an ideal husband and ideal son-in-law too. Just tell me her name."

(Alhamdulillah, our son lacks nothing)

His mother tried to uplift his spirits.

However, he sighed dejectedly, feeling conflicted

"Rehne den. Main khud jaa ker baat karta hun unse"
( Leave it. I'll talk to her by myself)

He said with determination and left to face his feelings head-on.
