You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one~
A young woman in her early twenties leisurely walked out of the kitchen. Seeing her approach, Bijaan smiled, but her smile faded upon seeing the way the girl was dressed. The young woman was wearing a black short kurta paired with flared jeans, and her scarf was carelessly wrapped around her neck. She settled beside Bijaan on her "takhat" (a piece of furniture made or used for sitting on) and she quickly devoured the apple she had taken from the kitchen.
"Airah, kitni dafa kaha hai iss tarah ke naazeib kapde ghar mein mat pehn ke phira kar!! Woh toh sed-shukar ke mard hazraat shaam ko hi ghar aate hain, warna kisi ne dekh liya bohatt kuch sunegi!! Hamare khaandaan mein nahi pehna jaata yeh sab!"
(Airah, how many times have I told you not to wear such flashy clothes at home like this? It is a relief that men only come home in the evening, otherwise if someone sees you like this, you'll get a good scolding! Our family doesn't follow these trends!)
Bijaan tried to knock some senses into her mind.
"Ham toh wese bhi iss khandaan se nahi!! Aur ham jo bhi pehnein revealing thoda hi hai!!?"
(Well, I don't really belong to this family anyway! And whatever I wear, it's not really that revealing!)
Airah casually replied while taking a bite of her apple. However, noticing Bijaan's face turning almost red, she immediately realized her mistake.
"Acha nah!! Sorry! I'll not repeat it!!"
(Okay fine!)
She apologized, but Bijaan turned her face away, clearly displaying her disapproval of the topic.
"I'm not hungry. I'm going to skip lunch and head to my room"
Airah simply stated before leaving. She knew why this topic was so sensitive for everyone, but she cared little. It was true that she didn't belong to this family; they were Syeds, while she was Pathan.
They all had fair skin tones, but Airah's features were a bit distinct. She had sapphire eyes that none of them had. Airah differed from them not just in appearance, but also in attributes.

Love is blind, but it's you I see,
Through every flaw, you're my remedy~Faiz Shah (Shah Sayin) and Mehnaaz Shah (Bijaan) were parents to three children.
Their firstborn was Aleem, who was married to Zarbano. They had two sons: Hamza and Shaazil.
The second child was Azeem Shah, who was married to Naima. They had only one child, Haya, aged 21.
The youngest child was Zainab.
Zainab held a special place in her parents' hearts. Being the only daughter, she was pampered and, to some extent, spoiled. Her every wish was granted, except for one-the wish that went against the family's rules, and even the norms of their community. She longed to marry the man she had fallen in love with during her college years.
