Zarmeen said, a mix of frustration and concern evident in her voice.
In their beautifully adorned farmhouse, Zaim's combined mehndi ceremony was in full swing. The place was filled with vibrant decorations and the joyful chatter of guests.
"Agayi hun mom! Agayi!"
Daneen came sprinting from her room.
"Oh Daneen you look so good! Kitne logo ko paagal karna hai?"
Minal muttered in low voice which was only audible to Daneen.
Verily, the rich, dark green lehenga complemented her perfectly."Umm... At least chaar toh hone chahiye! Nahi?"
Both Minal and Daneen burst into laughter, cherishing the playful camaraderie they shared.
They all left for farmhouse.
Arriving at the farmhouse, they were greeted by a picturesque scene. Colorful spotlights and fairy lights adorned the gardens, creating a magical ambiance. The fragrance of fresh flowers filled the air, and the sound of lively music resonated from within. Marigold flowers adorned the room, suspended on delicate threads that cascaded from the ceiling to the ground, creating an enchanting atmosphere that seemed straight out of a fairytale.
The rasm-e-henna ceremony began, and Daneen couldn't stop laughing at one of Minal's jokes. In the midst of her laughter, she caught him looking at her.
There he stood, a vision of handsomeness, with his hands casually tucked into his pockets.
Her laughter subsided, and she felt a rush of seriousness wash over her.Ayaan waved at her, and a mix of emotions surged within Daneen, yet the memory of Nimra held her back, causing her to tightly press her lips together.
Feigning a smile, she averted her gaze when she noticed Ayaan approaching her.
"Kesi ho Daneen? Mujhe afsos hai ke tumne mujhe apne bhai ki shaadi per invite nahi kiya!"
Ayaan was genuinely hurt by this.
"I'm sorry! I had no idea you were in Pakistan these days!"
Daneen replied with an air of indifference.
"Yeah!! How would you know when you had blocked me ages ago!"
Ayaan retorted, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
