دنیا میں کون کرے وفا کسی سے فراز
دل کے دو حروف وہ بھی جدا جدا

(Dunya mein kon kare wafa kisi se Faraz
Dil ke do haroof hain woh bhi juda juda)

Mahrosh hadn't left her room for two weeks. Her family had made numerous attempts to coax her into joining them at the dinner table, but she remained resolute in her refusal, claiming she wasn't hungry. Her mother, however, continued to send food each time. Despite her obvious disturbance, the reason behind her turmoil remained a mystery to everyone.

Murtaza brushed it off as pre-wedding jitters and chuckled, while her parents were deeply concerned for her well-being. Her mother reassured her many times that they could cancel her wedding, which was scheduled for 21 days later, but Mahrosh responded with a forced smile that seemed less genuine.

Right from the start, she had a knack for hiding her feelings effectively.

Mahrosh's mother reached out to her close friend, Zaria, and requested her help with Mahrosh.

Without delay, Zaria arrived at their house and burst into her room. Mahrosh cast an irritated glance at the intruder, but upon seeing Zaria, she rose and embraced her.

"Mahi aunty told me that you have isolated yourself in your DAMN room. Chalo bs when Zaria is here toh koi masla hi nhi. You are going with me to do some shopping. Bai tumhari shaadi hai, lehanga wagaira bhi toh lena hai. Auntie ne toh lehange ki choice ham per chorhdi. So we are going today and now! No excuses! "

(Come on, now that Zaria is here, there's no issue that can't be resolved. You're accompanying me for some shopping. After all, it's your wedding, and you need to select a bridal outfit. Auntie left the choice of lehenga on us. Hence, we're going today, and right now! No excuses!)

Zaria's tone sounded unusually serious, quite unlike her. She uttered the last sentence upon noticing Mahrosh attempting to come up with an excuse.

"Ama ne yeh bhi bataya hoga that i ain't in the mood to do anything. Aao mere pass baith jaao baatein karte hain! "

(Ammi-mom must've mentioned that I'm not in the mood for anything. Come, just sit beside me and let's chat!)

Mahrosh made an effort to persuade her, but when Zaria takes action, she's hard to resist

"Stand up. Go get ready you have only 15 minutes or else-"

Zaria tried to impose a threat, but she couldn't think of anything to threaten her with.

"Or else, you'll have to spill the beans about the reason behind that gloomy face of yours. I know wedding jitters aren't your style. Now, go get ready. And, by the way, I'm not taking no for an answer. "

She playfully plugged her forefingers into both ears, earning a chuckle from Mahrosh. Witnessing this, Zaria also let out a chuckle and moved closer, embracing Mahrosh warmly.

"Oh Mahi! We all want to witness YOUR happiness. Just open up about whatever is bothering you.My pyaari Mahi!"

(My dear Mahi)

Tears filled Mahrosh's eyes as she listened, and she hugged Zaria tightly in response, determined to share her feelings after their shopping trip.

"Chalo ab rona band and shopping ki tayari shuru. Acha sa tayar hokar aao jaldiiii! "
(Alright, enough of tears. Let's put an end to this and get ready for some shopping. Get yourself dressed nicely, and come quickly!)
