Phantom's Eve, it's one of the few nights of the year I actually like being in Jade Lake.

Chaos was everywhere, the Phantoms were idolized for good reason. They taught a lot of us how to breathe fire and walk the earth as we own it. And they don't even know that they're teaching rowdy teenagers that. They had just arrived at St. Michaels, kegs of beer were being carted up the hill and I leaned against my Range Rover, the gift I got for my sixteenth birthday. Sofia had told me she was sneaking out from Logan's room thirty minutes ago, so she should be showing up at any moment.

"Now this is a rarity," I rolled my eyes hearing Bucky's voice on the opposite side of my car, "Little Elena King without Sofia, you're a sight for sore eyes when you're not hiding."

"My least favorite Phantom," I looked over my shoulder, "don't you have a fourteen-year-old to terrify? Or are they no longer scared of you?"

"I thought Mickey was your least favorite the way you ice him out," I rolled my eyes again when he rounded the car and threw his arm around my shoulder, "glad to see I beat him out of something, he's over there damn near fucking Kiera Matthews on the front steps of the church, blasphemy if you ask me."

"I didn't ask you," I replied, shoving him away from me, "I don't know if you've figured this out, but I don't care what you guys are doing."

"Here I thought we were on the path to being friends," Bucky chuckled, tossing back the beer in his solo cup, "you know how to break a man's heart."

Everything was making more sense, Bucky was drunk, that's the only reason he was being this way. Usually, the only time he speaks to me is if I'm inserting myself between Sofia and him. I looked to my left when Sofia's Jeep finally pulled up, a breath I was holding hostage in my lungs finally freeing itself. "Sorry," she hopped out of her driver's seat, "Logan wouldn't leave and when he went to the bathroom I bolted downstairs, Mrs. Rogers is going to cover for me," she looked over to where Bucky was watching the two of us, "is he okay?"

"Is he ever okay?" I replied, seeing a grin forming on his lips at the statement, a drunken finger being pointed at me and I grimaced. I hated having attention on me at all, but Bucky Barnes' attention made my skin crawl.

"Barnes," Mickey finally decided to join his friend, his jaw tight when he looked at me, the feeling was mutual, we found out two weeks ago we were going to be getting married to each other, and neither of us was overjoyed by the outcome, "leave her alone, you know how she gets, she'll hide behind our little devil."

"Not yours," Sofia mumbled under her breath.

"Oh," Mickey chuckled, gripping Sofia's cheeks, "most definitely ours."

I tried my best to not groan aloud, but part of my stomach dropped, just because I knew I was going to be marrying someone who had eyes for my best friend. I shoved his hand away from Sofia, "I don't need your help, I was managing just fine, and so was Sofia."

"You could say thank you," Mickey glared at me, and I gave a sweet smile, "but I don't think that word is in your vocabulary."

"It's not," I replied, Sofia's arm looping around mine, "don't you have some girl to go fuck? We didn't ask to take you away from it."

Mickey smirked, slinging his arm around Bucky's shoulder while the other man swayed on his feet, letting out a chuckle. "Is that jealousy Elena? What do you think Buck? Do you hear jealousy?"
