His mindset was a bit off, maybe it was a symptom? Whatever it was, I didn't bring my guard down.

Ranboo had asked if he could come with me roam the mall for useful things and I reluctantly agreed after he promised to not be in any way interested of eating my insides.

He followed me throughout the grocery trip, even offering some products that he thought were high quality and he suggested I should get. My experience with him wasn't the best, it was full of him bantering about himself and what he remembers about his past, sometimes none of it even made sense.

We exited the grocery after a less-than 10 minute run with two backpacks full of food, I appreciated Ranboo's helping hand with carrying all the things especially that most of the food I packed were canned, the bags got excruciatingly heavy by the time I thought it was enough.

"You like those?" I hear Ranboo ask from behind me as I stared at the weapons displayed infront of a gun shop somewhere in a hidden corner. "We definitely don't have those where I'm from." He deadpanned.

"Where are you even from?" I ask, Ranboo didn't answer after a while of thinking. "I don't know. Is that a girl?" I furrowed and looked at the direction where he's pointing. I squinted my eyes, trying to get a better look inside of the pitch black abandoned food court he was pointing at but even if I went closer, there was nothing.

I turned to him with a weirded look. "What girl? There's no one. Are you hallucinating? Is that like another outcome from your abus-" I was cut off by a feminine voice echo something incoherent from the dark court. I quickly turned back around and started to walk inside without any hesitation, Just one name flashing across my mind.

"Hey? Are you Drista?" I called out, fiddling into my bag to grab my flashlight I didn't think I'd need to use so soon. I shined it throughout the messy and empty food court, looking around frantically.

I hear movements come from across the hall and I quickly turned around to search for the noise but I was only greeted by nothingness.

"We're harmless, We're not like those disgusting creatures." I try to convince as I walked deeper into the darkness. I had a terrible gut feeling creeping up my stomach but I pushed forward, I needed to find Drista. For Dream.

"WATCH OUT!" Ranboos shouts and I turned around just to be pinned against a knocked over table slanted towards the ground. Cold metal presses against my neck and I instantly flinch before realizing I had nowhere to go.

"How the fuck do you know my name?" I let out a sudden sigh in relief and flashed the light infront of me to see the face I've been dying to find all this time. Same curly dirty blonde hair, nerdy glasses and bright green eyes. My heart almost skipped a beat by just seeing her and her brothers resemblance.

"What's so fucking funny, bitch?" She pushes my flashlight out of her face and winces in annoyance as I chuckled in relief. "I know your brother." I just answered simply and stood up, brushing the dust off my clothes.

"Dream? Is he alive?" Drista immediately starts to walk after me towards the exit of the mall. "I hope so." I mumbled. "Who thought you how to handle a gun?" It was my turn to ask as I look at the pistol she held in plain sight.

"I don't. I just got it for protection, haven't used it yet." She just shrugs before looking at me rather weirdly. "What?" I avoid her gaze.

"You look familiar." She only answers with before looking back towards where we're heading. And then she suddenly stops as her eyes widens and fixate into the entrance. I turned to where she looked and I felt my heart drop.

The zombies were rushing into the stairs and up to where we were. We started running in the opposite direction, but the only thing crossing my mind was Dream. Where is he? What happened to the distraction? What happened to him?

Ranboo soon leads us into an opened staffs closet where we ran past neatly stacked shelves which I pushed over to block the doorway. The next thing I knew we were panting outside with a dangerous door we swore not to open again behind us.

"Why did you come? You should've stayed and they wouldn't have attacked you." I looked over at Ranboo who just scratched his neck in response. "I don't know. For a second there I really thought I was going to die." I pursed my lips and sighed.

I lead them to the facility's parking lot where the Cadillac me and Dream used was. It was still there, all in glory with its signature dented trunk and a smoking engine.

But where's Dream?
