Early November is the predecessor to the true winter months, but it still brings along some of the cold weather. The trees have usually already lost their leaves and the bright green plants that were thriving in the summer are dying off in preparation for the winter months.
While the plant life was dying off, y/n and Rosie's relationship was flourishing. The two spent weekends together and some weeknights as well. They have been keeping everything under wraps fairly well as the three people that were told about their relationship were the only ones who knew about them, no one else.
Countless more dates, exploring the other's body, saying loving compliments, and enjoying the other's presence were getting better and better with each passing week.
The two couldn't ask for a better girlfriend.
"Ugh, can you come in to work any faster?" Rosie complained to y/n on the phone as she wanted to see her girlfriend. Y/n chuckled as she was at a red light,
"I cannot get to work any faster. I'm at a light and I still have to get your coffee." Y/n heard the blonde groan over the phone,
"That's gonna take you like 15 more minutes. I should just stay over on Sunday nights to drive your ass to work with me in the mornings."
"Yeah, and have everyone get suspicious, great thinking, my love." Y/n replied as Rosie just leaned back in her office chair,
"It's called friends drive people places."
"Of course."
"I can hear the sarcasm, so shut it." Y/n laughed as the light turned green,
"Okay, I'm coming up on the café, so I'm going to get you your coffee and I'll be there soon to give you your morning kiss, alright?" Rosie let out a dramatic sigh on the other end of the phone,
"Fine, I'll wait longer to see you. I love you."
"Love you, too." Y/n said as she continued her drive to the café. The project manager soon pulled into the parking lot and found a spot close-ish to the entrance of the small café.
She had some light gloves on and her black coat as she headed into the café to get her girlfriend her coffee. She let out a small sigh when she felt the heat inside the building hit her in the face. Y/n went to go stand in line and she took her gloves off and stuffed them in her pocket for the time being.
The one barista who was making the coffees saw y/n and the two made eye contact, both smiling. The barista gave y/n a small nod and got to doing y/n's order. Y/n always appreciated the woman because she does her job swiftly and at a high level. The cashier noticed y/n when she was behind the current person ordering and she got ready to key in y/n's order. The man finished ordering in front of her and the cashier smiled widely at y/n,
"Good morning, y/n. Has it warmed up a bit outside yet?" She asked as y/n chuckled and shook her head,
"Nope, still probably as cold as it was when you opened." Y/n responded as the cashier sighed,
"I hate winter and the cold." That got a laugh out of y/n,
"Well then I'd suggest you move out of the city as soon as you can, Maddie." Maddie groaned,
"I know, but I still need to save up enough money," she said as she clicked the button for y/n to pay with her card, "I'm shooting for next summer to leave."
"Well I hope you get that wish of yours. Though I'll miss our little talks in the mornings." Y/n said as she put her card away after paying and stepped to the side for the next customer to order. Y/n didn't even have to wait as the barista slid Rosie's coffee over to her right away,
