Gabriel was laying down on the table still, waiting for Jack. Deep down he was really excited to see him. But he didn't want to show that.

Jack swiftly walked in all of a sudden and stood in the doorway for a moment, staring at Gabriel. Gabriel smiled when he saw him, but then stopped immediately, embarrassed that Jack could make him smile so easily.

"Hey, Gabe." He said, walking in. Gabriel felt anxious, he wasn't exactly sure why though. "Hey.. Jack." Gabriel replied.

There was an awkward silence.

Jack picked up a chair and placed it next to Gabriel, and sat down next to him. Gabriel turned his head in Jacks direction.

"How are you?" Jack asked him, curiosity on his condition was killing him. Gabriel shifted a little as if he was nervous. "I'm fine." He lied.

Jack took a deep breath. "Gabriel. You know you can't lie to me. I know you better than anyone."

Gabriel's face heated up a bit. "Yeah, right."

Jack rolled his eyes playfully, then leaned closer to Gabriel, and kissed him on the cheek softly.

Gabriel opened his mouth slightly, a bit in shock and then realized. He wasn't wearing his mask. He quickly turned his head to the other direction.

Jack stared at him, confused.

"Don't.. look at me." He said, embarrassed. Jack raised an eyebrow. "Why?" He questioned.

Gabriel paused. He didn't exactly know how to reply. "Im hideous now.. I'm.. I'm not what I used to be, Jack."

Jack scoffed. "Gabriel. Look at me." Gabriel didn't move. "Gabriel." Jack said, again. Gabriel didn't want Jack to see him like this.

It was bad enough last time. Thats why he had to run away. But he was trapped now. He wished he could just disappear.

"No, Jack. Can you just leave me alone?"
Suddenly, Jack grabbed Gabriels face and pulled it to his, and kissed him softly. Gabriels eyes widened, shocked.

The comfort of Jack's hands holding Gabriels face gently, made him calm down. Gabriel closed his eyes and began to kiss him back.

Gabriel tried to reach his hands up to hold Jack but he couldn't. He was still restrained. Gabriel growled.

Jack pulled back and realized what was frustrating him. Without thinking, Jack freed Gabriel's arms, and helped him sit up.

"Is this better?" Jack smiled. Gabriel was still shocked. "Y-you.." he stared and looked down at his hands. "You're... not scared of me?" He asked Jack, shakily.

Jack tilted his head then let out a small chuckle. "Why would I be scared of you? Your my best friend." Gabriel and Jack sat there, staring at each other.

There was a long silence as they both just stared at each other. Jack reached up and gently placed his hand on Gabriel's cheek.

"You are so beautiful, Gabe. Just the way you are." He said, staring into Gabriel's eyes. Gabriel blushed, and let out a small laugh.

"Since when were you the romantic, Jack?"
Jack chuckled and kissed Gabriel's cheek. Gabriels eyes followed Jack.

"No, I mean really. I'm the romantic, I always was~" Gabriel said, dragging his words.

Gabriel's hand began to wander on Jack, starting at the bottom of his shirt. Jack stared, his face red.

But even if Jack was enjoying this, Gabriel looked like he was thinking about something. "What is it?" Jack questioned, curious.

"Well," He started, then hesitated. Jack put his hand on Gabriels leg, assuringly.

Gabriel sighed.

"Jack, what happened to you on the day of the explosion?" Jack froze and stared at Gabriel then looked away quickly.

"I.. I don't really know. The only thing I remember is laying in front of.. the entrance of the Watchpoint Gibraltar. And I woke up and looked around for you."

Gabriel stared at him. "Did you leave me behind?"
Jack jumped, and quickly looked to Gabriel. "Of course not! I would.. never leave you." He said, softly.

Gabriel looked to the side, as if he was nervous to make eye contact. "Do you promise?"
Jack held Gabriels hands together, making Gabriel regain eye contact.

"I promise Gabe." Jack said sincerely. He hoped Gabriel would believe him. Jack wished he could remember exactly what happened.

"I don't even know what happened, really."
"I don't either. I wish I did." Jack replied.

There was a bit of silence.

Jack suddenly embraced Gabriel in his arms, pulling him close.

Gabriel let out a quiet gasp.

"I would never leave you, Gabriel."

He held him for a while, they said nothing.

Jack holding Gabriel comforted them both. Gabriel could feel Jack's heartbeat, but Jack couldn't feel his.

"I'm sorry for what I've become." Gabriel finally said.

"Sorry for what??"

"I'm sorry I have become such a monster."

Jack furrowed his brows.

"Thats not true. You weren't yourself. You were confused. Im here for you now, its going to be okay, alright?"

"You deserve much better than someone like m-"

Jack pulled Gabriel in for a deep kiss, holding his face. Gabriel was trying to continue his sentence but was muffled by the kiss, but quickly began to kiss Jack back. They kissed each other very gently and passionately, Gabriel was a little more rough than Jack, though he always was.

When they pulled back, they were both flustered, and then smiled at each other.

"Remember when we used to kiss just like that? Any chance that we got?" Gabriel grinned.

Jack chuckled, "Yes, I do. It was a very rare occasion, but I do."
