"How is she?" Jack asked, with a look of concern in his face. Ana was standing next to a patient bed, which Angela was lying down in.
"She's gonna be okay." Ana smiled, looking up from Angela, to Jack.
Gabriel entered the room, holding a cup of tea on a small plate. "Hey." He said warmly, with a smile.
"I brought something for you, Ana. I know you've been working really hard to help Angela out." Gabriel said, handing her the tea.
"Oh, Gabriel." Ana said with relief, as if he had lifted a great burden off of her. She smiled at him, and her eyes softened.
"You two are just as sweet as you always were..." she said, looking at them both.
Gabriel chuckled and elbowed Jack.
"Yeah.. so sweet." Gabriel said with a wink.
Jack huffed playfully. "I was much nicer than you were Reyes, ask anyone."
Gabriel rolled his eyes. "Come-on Ana, stick up for me here!"
Ana laughed, "You two are so childish."
"Well, you two should spend some well deserved time alone. I will have her up and going in no time, don't worry." She said, assuringly, glancing at them both.
They both looked at each-other and blushed slightly and smiled.
"I think I'd like that." Jack said, getting up with Gabriel.
"Promise me though, if you were to need any help or anything like that, that you'd let me know." Jack asked Ana, looking her in the eyes.
She sighed. "Yes, Jack. Now stop being so stubborn and worrying and go!" She said as she pushed them both out the door.
Gabriel laughed. "You gonna let that old woman push you around?"
"I heard that!" Ana said on the other side.
They both chuckled, and started heading towards a more private area to talk.
"You know, you didn't have to go easy on me all those times, Jack. I deserved to be beaten into the ground." Gabriel said, while sitting on a step outside of the Watchpoint.
Jack turned to him, as he sat beside him. "I didn't go easy on you Gabe." He said, not able to hold eye contact.
"Ah, classic Jack. Never been good at lying, have you?" Gabriel smirked.
Jack sighed. "Look, I knew you weren't in the right state of mind, how could I hurt someone that I.." Jack trailed off, looking at the sunset in the distance.
Gabriel glared at him. "What was that last part?"
Jack blushed a little, not looking at him and focusing his eyes on the sky.
"I couldn't hurt you, Gabe. I would never." He said quietly.
Gabriel got closer to him, and put his face in front of Jack's.
"You still didn't say what you-"
"You know that Moira told me what happened that day. When she was experimenting on me. She did it to make me enraged. She said it would make me stronger the more furious i got." Jack said sternly.
Gabriel sat back up next to him, and got a little quiet really quickly. "What.. what did she say.?"
Jack sighed, hesitantly as if he didn't want to continue.
