After a while of Jack and Gabriel being together, Angela decided to go check on them. It had been over two hours, Angela knew that they were dying to be alone together, so she wanted them to spend time together.

As she came up to the door, she listened first. There was silence. She slowly opened the door and peeked inside.

She saw Gabriel laying down, with Jack in his arms. They were asleep. She smiled softly. Somehow, she knew that Jack would've untied Gabriel, but she didn't mind.

She hesitated, almost wanting to wake them up and tell Jack that Gabriel needed some more tests done to keep him and others safe, but she knew that if Gabriel got out of hand that Jack would be the only one to get him back in control.

With the help of medicine she gave him, she was hopeful that would help him for good. She figured a hypothesis on him, she figured if she tried to reverse the affects on him using some biotic healing, that it might help.

She gave them one last look, finding them reunited like this after all these years, heartwarming. Angela knew Jack and Gabriel were in love.

But as Strike Commander, Jack wasn't allowed to date or show affection to other soldier.

She turned the light off and quietly shut the door.

-The next day. Early morning-

Jack woke up slowly to feeling something jolting on him. As he woke up more, he realized it was Gabriel.

Gabriel was shaking and flinching in his sleep.

"Gabe.." Jack said, trying to wake him up. Gabriel continued to shake. Jack tried to get up from Gabriel's hold, but Gabriel refused to let go.

"No..." Gabriel growled. "You won't... take him.."
Jack blushed a little. He shook Gabriel gently.

"Gabe. It's me, wake up." He said softly. Gabriel jolted awake, breathing heavily. He looked around the room.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked him, worried. Gabriel continued to search the room, then looked to Jack.

"I.. Yeah. Sorry.. heh.." Gabriel said, a little flustered. Jack gave him a hug. "Do you wanna talk about it?

Gabriel paused. "Well.. it's nothing, really." He said. Jack rubbed Gabriels back, assuringly. Gabriel calmed down a bit more.

"I just.. I'm worried Jack. I feel like Talon is going to be coming for me... and.." he paused.

Jack held him tightly. "I will always be here for you Gabe. I won't let them take you away from me anymore." Gabriel went silent.

"I don't want to put you in danger." He said, exhaling. Jack pulled back and looked him in the eyes.

"You aren't. We are in this together, okay?" Jack said, with a slight smile. Gabriel stared, then slowly nodded, still not sure.

Jack kissed Gabriel and then stood up. "Let's go eat breakfast, im starving."

Ana and Angela were sitting in the kitchen, both sitting at the dining table. Ana was stirring honey into her tea, and Angela was sipping on coffee.

Gabriel walked behind Jack, still a bit shy due to being maskless. Jack raised a hand up at Ana and Angela.

"Mornin." Jack said, with a smile. Ana and Angela stared at him, a bit shocked seeing him so cheerful.

"Good morning, you two." Ana said, smiling at them. Gabriel stood next to Jack, and smiled at them softly.

Ana patted a seat next to her, inviting them to sit down. They both took the invite and plopped down. Jack began to help himself to the biscuits Angela had attempted to make that were on the table.

He handed one to Gabriel and Gabriel stared at it. Jack raised an eyebrow, confused.

"I um.. I don't really eat anymore.." Gabriel said quietly. Jack paused, but didn't want to make Gabriel embarrassed so he nodded.

Ana and Angela looked at each other, worried.

"How are you feeling today, Gabriel?" Angela asked him with a worried look on her face.

Gabriel looked up at her. "Heh. Angela, don't worry about me, alright?" He said, trying to convince her he was fine.

She squinted at him. "Gabriel. How are you feeling." She said, demandingly. Gabriel sighed.

"You always were stubborn, weren't you?" He smiled, slightly. Ana nodded, agreeing with him.

"I feel better than I did. When I start having my.. pain spells.. I can't control my emotions or anything, actually. Thats.. thats why she kept fueling the fire to that." He said, tapping his fingers on the table.

Jack finished up eating a couple biscuits, as if he were a starving wolf. He looked to Gabriel.

"Have you felt anything like that recently?" He asked.

"No, I just feel a bit weak now.." Gabriel sighed. Ana perked up. "Angela," she started.

"Did you use your biotic healing on him?" She asked, curious.

Angela nodded. "I used a fairly high dosage to see how well it would work." Ana sipped her tea, eyeballing Gabriel.

He looked at her, noticing this and quickly looked away. Gabriel acted skittish, which was strange for him.

"Do you think my healing darts might be useful for him to keep on him in case of emergency?"Ana asked.

Angela shook her head. "No, I hope that after I can do some more tests that he won't have to take any sort of medication. But.. it might not hurt to carry one with you. Just in case."

Gabriel nodded. "Thank you.. all of you. For taking me in even after.. everything I've done." He said, looking down.

Jack put a arm around him. "We'll always be here for you. You're part of this family too, y'know?" Jack smiled, looking at Ana and Angela.

"He's right." Ana and Angela chimed in, smiling warmly, happy to have their old friends back.

Gabriel smiled and looked around the table, at Jack, Ana, and Angel. They were always just like family to him.

They looked out for each-other when times got tough, and got along very well.

Gabriel knew this is where he belonged. He was just worried that he was going to mess it all up.
