The first round of the first year's Sport Festival was a simple obstacle course.

The students would be racing against one another to take first place, whilst having to overcome several challenges throughout it.

Only the top forty students would pass into the second round of the Sports Festival.

"Are you ready!" All Might boomed into the microphone. As the homeroom teacher of class 1-A he had full permission to take the microphone from Present Mic.

"Come on Class 1-B!" Sekijiro-Sensei yelled.

He had somehow convinced Present Mic to leave the both. Apparently, he was the reason why the Festival was starting forty-five minutes late.

A massive gong rang out as it was struck, indicating the start of the Sports Festival.

Immediately upon hearing the gong, a student from class 1-A shot forward in a burst of frozen rage, leaving everyone stuck behind.

'Woah!' Izuku exclaimed internally. That boy was strong. He shook his head, clearing it of the thoughts he knew were destined to cloud his mind.

He'd focus on that later, right now he had to humble Class 1-A.

"Remember, we aren't trying to show off." Neito said as they were leaving the gate.

"Sorry Neito, but I have a point to make."

Izuku fired up both his boots, and his chest plate and took off running. Spikes jutted out of the bottom of his boots, cracking the ice beneath him and digging into the ground below.

Meanwhile, the small thrusters on the back of his chest plate, while not powerful enough to grant him flight, offered him an amazing boost in speed.

His gauntlet being the only offensive piece of support gear that he owned.

He did feel slightly guilty in not sticking to the plan that his class had so carefully made. But, upon looking around that guilt lessened considerably.

Neito was quickly catching up to him, a set of engines in his claves being the reason for his sudden increase in speed. That, and the small layer of Mina's acid being constantly created beneath his feet.

So far, they were in a dead straight run with no obstacle to speak of. Had All Might lied to them?

No that couldn't be the case. Something was about to happen and fast.

"Look at that, five students have made it to the first obstacle of the day!" Sekijiro-Sensei said. "Would you mind explaining what this is about, All Might."

"Sure thing, young Sekijiro. This first obstacle is designed to test how these young Heroes react to a surprise."

Izuku felt a sinking feeling in his chest grow as he saw the ground in front of him begin to crack open.

"Now, in saying that I welcome you all to Robo-Inferno!"

Mere seconds after the words had left All Might's mouth, the earth exploded. Robots from the Entrance Exam now stood between the students and their way forward.

There were three Zero-Pointers as well as a few dozen Three-Pointers.

"Divine Avalanche!" The two toned boy from 1-A yelled.

An avalanche of ice shot from the boy's right and encased all of the robots present.

Then, without skipping a beat he continued to run past the robots. Unfortunately, with the way he had frozen them the Zero-Pointers began to tip over, headed straight for them.
