A Big Purchase

Roz brought me a very unusual purchase of a local publishing company. The owner wants to sell so he can retire early. She has went through it all with an exception. The owner is being sued by all Jack Hyde's victims that worked there. One still works there and he is trying to negotiate with her, but she's not going for it. She's standing with the other victims and she is standing strong with them. Roz thinks that we should buy it but make sure any lawsuits are paid out if the purchase price and if it's more he pays the overage and if he isn't happy with that then tell him no.

He's already agreed to it. I told him those were the terms and he's okay with it. They would have went after him personally anyway. He knew there was something wrong yet he did nothing about Hyde. I will arrange a meeting with him. That way we can sign the documents and start the transfer of ownership. The law suit is against him anyway they are going for all his assets. Which won't be SIP by the time they go to court. A fact I caught when he came to me with this offer to sell. Once he sells the money he gets for the place will have to be declared, something tells me he is going to try to hide the money, but I can't let that happen. So we are announcing the purchase and the purchase price publicly. Trust me the attorney suing him will definitely know to amend the law suit prior to the court date. I will not help this man hide any assets from the victims on his watch. Theirs a long list.

Let's get him here today and release the information right after he leaves the building. Is that quick enough for you? She laughs and calls Brown and tells him that we are ready to buy SIP with the terms we sent over if he wants the deal he has two hours to get over here and he arrives 15 minutes later. He flew out of his office and arrived here in just enough time that he barely hung up the phone when left to sign the papers. He also doesn't know that Roz gave the attorney for the victims a heads up to freeze his accounts including his business and offshore accounts. We made the check out to his business account and it has a hold on getting cash from the amount of the check and we ran audits on the SIP operational funds and they are frozen as well once we sign the papers, another thing he didn't read in the deal. So we order the account frozen with proof of purchase. He is so screwed just like his victims were, well until the last victim hurt him and put him behind bars. Jason told me that Hyde died a pretty bad death, one no guy would want to happen to himself. I cringed and protected my groin as he told me what he had heard. The man has contacts that are scary, very scary.

An announcement was made that mr Brown sold SIP and the new owners are freezing all accounts and payroll is going to be handled by the new owner and we are being added to their systems tonight. We are going to be interviewed again by GEH HR tomorrow and the next day. We are going to be moving into the Grey House on the third floor. Daycare is available and those that are kept will be getting better benefits and they will discuss other things at the interview. I am nervous because of my age it was hard to get this job and I have been her only three months. My job performance reviews have been good. I am nervously awaiting my outcome. They promoted me from assistant to editor. Gregg was also promoted to editor. The other assistant were reassigned and placed in different departments at GEH at the same level they were at. Apparently they weren't getting good reviews and had been here for years. They had became sedentary in their jobs and needed to be reassigned. A couple of editors were replaced. I was happy that I got a promotion a raise and soon my own assistant. Cheryl was sad to lose me but glad that I got a promotion.

SIP Mr Brown
I sign the agreement and I get out of there with the check, but see it has to be deposited in my business account so I take it and deposit it in the account and then try to get cash from from the account and find out it is frozen. I can't get access to any of the money and none of the check I just deposited. Somehow the attorney has frozen all my accounts. I am screwed and I have been told I can't sell any of my assets, so I need to find a job. My wife is angry at me for being so callous about not firing Hyde when I first suspected he was sexually harassing his assistants. Okay after the third one I should have fired him. So my family is paying for my stupidity. At least the trust funds are untouchable.

Christian and I announce at the press conference that we purchased Seattle Independent Publishing Company and we will be taking ownership. We already started the process of interviewing the employees and it went quickly. So now we are ready to have the third floor set up for the Publishing company. We signed and sealed the deal and called the attorney the second mr Brown left our office. He froze the account that morning. So the money from the check can't be touched by him. His last paycheck to himself has already been paid and it's his last one. Christian has no remorse for mr Brown but he does for his wife and family.
