He's late.

Taehyung's late for class and it's your fault. His fault for sticking to you like gum, but yours for allowing him to do so.

"Let's go."

"I don't wanna. By the time we get there, the lecture's gonna be over anyways. There's no point." Taehyung rolls on his stomach, still plastered on the floor with no plans of moving an inch. His head does shift, however, just to stare at you with his one open eye, the corner of his mouth pulling into a sly smirk. "I'd rather stay here with you."

"I'd rather you not skip five times in a row," you bite back and kick his leg for good measure. Taehyung feigns pain with a sharp inhale and he bends his knee, pulling it to his chest. "Your grades are tanking. How are you supposed to catch up now?"

"It's not like I care about my political science classes. And I'm doing fine in art." He pouts childishly and you have an urge to straddle his hips, hold him down and... choke him. But then you'd get fired. It's the opposite of your job anyways. You're supposed to protect the man, not kill him. "I'd rather just go out on dates with you."

"They're not dates. Don't call them that."

"Well then it's sample dates." He grins while you scoff. "What? Am I wrong? I'm still waiting on the someday. You know you promised yourself to me."

You don't make any denials to his statements. "Yeah, yeah, well I'm not going to get together with someone who doesn't have any career prospects."

The man gasps, hand over his chest. "You mean you wouldn't love me unconditionally? I never took you as such a shallow person. What if I wanted to be a stay at home dad?"

You look down at him, unamused. "That would require us to have children."

"Us?" Taehyung's grin widens. "Then we should get started right now."

You sigh, ignoring him. "If I'm the reason you become a dropout, Taehyung."

"The only reason I'd be a dropout is because of my own choices and it seems to be a real possibility in the near future. You know how boring it is. I want to rip out my own eyeballs every time I have to sit in the damn lecture hall."

"Your dad's going to think it's my fault if your grades start tanking," you say in an attempt to reason with him.

"No he wouldn't." Taehyung's the one to scoff this time. "He likes you too much. Thinks you're the more responsible one. Which you are. But he'd blame me. Old man knows I hate it though. He wouldn't be surprised. As long as I'm not playing a cat and mouse game with his security team or appearing on the front page of the newspaper, he doesn't care what I do."

He seems set on not leaving the spot on your floor.

There's nothing you can do and you give up on reasoning. His logical side never worked properly anyways. You could physically drag him and haul him to class, but you can't force him to pay attention or do well if he doesn't want to.

It's not like you particularly enjoy forcing him to do things anyways. It's just part of your duties to make sure that Taehyung's accompanied to class safely and that he attends in the first place.

While part of you wants to join his rebellious side and let him skip, you know this is good for Taehyung. Education never harmed anyone.

Maybe you can try again tomorrow.

Still, you muse that you have it the easiest. At least defiant Taehyung listens to you. He seems to still spite Seokjin. Jungkook gets a headache after just ten minutes into his shift and they end up bickering with one another. Jimin, on the other hand, is too timid to order Taehyung around.
