Benji
Doing Sarah's job was ungodly stressful.
Couldn't I just do my own job?
That why if I fuck up its only me that gets canned?
I examined my worked while leant back in my chair, the work wasn't hard - not at all - but the idea of doing a friend's job was nerve wracking. I'm done a little after I meant to be, it irked me a little. Glasses sit comfortably on my nose; the hair was in its work bun and my clothes were the comfiest. Big grey baggy sweater and a floor length skirt. Most of what I had was for comfort.
The front door opening and closing enters my room so I turn to yell for Mason, but nothing escapes my throat "Clap for me, Juji!" he calls. I set down my pen to clap my hands together, moments later he's outside my door with a bag and-
'FUCK. He's wearing a suit.'
He wore a black and grey pinstripe suit with a purple tie, his hair neatly groomed.
He looked good. Damn good. Damn good.
Though I miss his curls.
He smiled and walked over with a little bag "Made a quick stop to shop and I found you something." he said. I tilted my head with a smile and took it, peeking in, at the bottom I see a small piece of chocolate cake, it smells rich and heavenly. I smile 'Thank you' I mouth, seeing my board on the table, I spot the bag in his hand and point at it, he only scoffs "Something to help with my work" he waves off.
I nodded and gestured my board, he glanced back then handed it to me 'How was your day?' he read it and sighed while removing his jacket "Too bloody long. Luckily the client didn't need to meet long and I have to wait before we can meet again, so basically I'm being paid to crash at my sister's." he explained.
He draped the jacket over the arm that held his jacket, I frowned 'Sorry it's so late' I write, pointing at the clock that read 9:30 PM. He sighed and nodded "I expected it honestly but if it means I get to sleep right away then it's all worth it." he said. I smile and wipe out the board 'There's ziti in the fridge. Go eat and get some sleep.' I wrote.
He scanned it, gasping softly "Fuck yeah, ziti~" I giggle as he coos excitedly. He nodded "Thank you Juji, I think I'll do that... Try to get some sleep okay? Sarah asked me to make sure you weren't stressing." he said. I waved him off, 'I'm not stressing! I'm going to sleep soon.' I wrote before tossing the sign.
He nodded and cleared his throat "By the way, I'll be having that person over... We'll just be in my room." he said. I wince 'So soon? I really didn't want to listen to this...' He chuckled "We'll be as quiet as can be, honest" he crossed his heart with his laced fingers.
He glanced around "I've been meaning to ask, wheres Bender?" I rolled my lips and looked down before writing slowly out 'I think Carte...' I don't really know what happened but the police couldn't find him anywhere, they insisted he didn't have him. He read it over before frowning up at me "Juji... I'm sorry..." he trailed off, I held my stomach to ease it 'Its okay, really' He tilted his head "Are you sure? I can tell her never mind," he pointed behind him with his thumb.
