"No wifi or phones still?" Noel shook his head "Not a damn thing" he murmurs, I lower my phone and crossed my arms. Those went out about three hours ago, neither of us could get a damn signal anywhere. I looked out the window to spot some of the neighbors leaving 'Must be neighborhood wide' I thought. I shrugged and tapped the car in the window, suggesting we go somewhere, he clicks his thumbs and points "I know the perfect spot, there's this hot dog place" he guffaws "You'll love it" he insists. I nod and grab my things; I like Noel he's been really sweet for all this.
He nudges his head "S'go" he said, dangling his keys, I grab mine and lock up the house "So, Mason tells me you have a dog?" he asks while getting into the car. I nodded and typed on my phone "Bender, my idiot, I love him." I wrote. We start driving down a certain way when we see a mountain of police cars and swat vans blocking the road "Woah, what the hell..." he murmured. I looked around as he went the way the police directed him to go, it was so crowded over there 'What the hell happened'
To my left is a really windy road, it's been under construction for a while but the sign was gone. I shrugged and pointed down the road so he followed but I made sure he knew it was windy. He slowed down and began driving, we twist and turn about three times before we come across a roadblock sign. We winced "The fuck? We can't turn here, why put this here and not at the top? This is a one lane!" Noel exclaimed as I glanced down, the road is definitely currently under construction. I tapped his arm then typed "Here, lets get out and see what the best way to do this is." I wrote.
We got out and looked down "Oh yeah fuck that, this is ridiculous" he murmurs, heading over to the sign. I continued staring confused, Noel's right, why is this here? Theres no construction going on at all. I glance at my phone and cursed, still no signal, so I turned to the car, only Noel wasn't there. I narrowed my eyes and looked around carefully, "Noel?" I called out, I jumped hearing laughing "Noel you can't do-" A figure stands up from next to the car.
My blood turns cold as my whole body vibrates in a stew of fear and panic as I recognize that terrible glint, the blonde hair and all those shitty tattoos. Carter eyes me like the prey I've become and points at me with a knife, I look at Noel whose on the ground, I can't see if he's okay, and I can't get to him. He smirks "There you are baby" he cooed, stalking over to me "G-Get aw-way from me!" I yelled, backing up. He glares a little "Oh come on now, no kiss for your husband?" he asked, he moves fast to get to me, and I run. I ran down the road shrieking at the top of my lungs as he yelled obscenities at me.
I fumbled for my phone but there was still no signal "AIN'T NO ONE INTERUPTING US TONIGHT!" he screamed. He must have been the one blocking the signal and cut out our wifi, he wanted us here! 'He must have been stalking me the whole time!' I thought while trying to run down to the construction crew. Don't look back at him, just keep running! I finally see the gates, but no ones there, in a panic I dart to the side woods to try and get out.
