Golden Strings is an AU I've thought of, well a QFTLM AU to be specific-
Basically, instead of King Nixel creating the original mixamajig key, he creates a different one known as the "Golden Key", I'll show you the concepts below so you can understand where I'm coming from.

The Golden key is a LOT more different than the Mixamajig key, its far more sentient and alive in some way. It also has goop like arms/hands so it's easier it to grab things.
It is also able to influence/take control of the Mixel who wields it, for example:

For the plot of this AU, Snoof is the one who becomes subject to the key's control(he does snap out of it at some point tho).
While under control of the key a mixel's voice can become distorted at times when speaking, as well as golden glowing eyes.

As for the whole bow tie thing, it is given to them by the golden key itself, this allows it to keep control of the wielder. It also has a tendency to glow.

- The Golden Key is legit like Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls.
- I got a bit inspired by a BFB AU called Betting AU.
- Plot concept: Slusho, Snax and Chillbo finding out the key's motives and attempting to snap Snoof out of it, however the key continues to act like a trustworthy guide.
- King Nixel created the key so it can "Guide a mixel to its greatest desires".
