Schnix breathed in and out heavily, tugging on the sheets of their bed and quivering in fear. The lights were off and the only thing was their nightlight on, but that didn't stop them from still feeling afraid.
Lately they've been having nightmare after nightmare and they seem to just not go away, no matter how hard Schnix tried to shake them off. All they could do was sob, making sure no one heard them.
- "Please... Make them stop..." Schnix whimpered. "Please..."
Princess would step into the room.
- "Schnix? Are you okay there?" Princess asked.
Schnix jolted their head from the bed and turned to Princess who was inside the room. They tried to hide their shaking and tears.
- "I-I'm okay-! I-I'm fine-!" Schnix said, still trembling.
Princess would notice this and walk over to Schnix.
- "You look like you're trembling..." Princess noted.
Schnix would shake their head.
"N-No I'm not-! It's not like I'm having a nightmare or anything, haha!" Schnix laughed, trying to sound convincing.
But it didn't work, Princess could see right through him and her face turned concerned.
- "You had one of those nightmares again.. didn't you?" Princess asked.
Schnix couldn't hide it, they nodded as tears started coming on like a waterfall. Princess would embrace them gently to soothe them.
- "Shh, there there Schnixy... I'm here..." Princess cooed.
Schnix sniffled, tugging onto Princesses' embrace and not letting her go. Eventually after some minutes or so they calmed down, falling asleep in her arms after all the crying.
Princess smiled,tucking her friend back into bed and placing one of her plushies in their arms. But she decided to stay and snuggle up with them.
Schnix continued to hold onto her, feeling safe and protected.
