ARTEMIS POV
The advantages of being sisters with the Goddess of Wisdom: she can easily get us all first-class tickets to Florence. The disadvantages? She wanted to come with us. Of course.
As we all boarded, we managed to conceal our weapons by way of the Mist. We took our seats, which were very comfortable, and the plane ascended. Athena was on a rant about how we could see the Carnivale in Venice or some other famous Italian places.
I decided to take my seat next to Percy, because he was someone I never really talked to. "Ever been to Italy?" I asked. "To Roma, yes." He answered. Roma? "Was that Italian?" I questioned. He sighed, then explained that he had some old Italian roots dating back to the Renaissance. Why I found that slightly hotter, I had no idea. "--- ore Family, a group of bankers, is where my line is. The men were hung in the 1470s, but one escaped and had a family." He said, though I missed the first few words. I didn't want him to suspect anything, so I just nodded.
I wondered why they were hung.
ATHENA POV
I listened to what Percy was saying. Now, you're probably asking, "Why are you listening so intently?" Well, in truth, it would be because I have a small fondness- scratch that, big fondness- for the sea spawn. I knew if anyone learned of this, it would be the death of me.
He was a smart man when he needs to be, especially now that he doesn't have my traitorous daughter to help him.
How could she even think about cheating on him? After everything he did for her. She never deserved him. She was never worthy of his love. If she wasn't my daughter, I might smite her for her acts.
Either way, I was determined to make him mine. I would give anything just to kiss him. To be wrapped in his strong arms. And I might get my chance. Italy is considered to be the country of love. So who better to help than the god of love.
Once I was sure everyone was asleep, I Iris messaged Eros. He answered in his typically flirty tone, which I quickly ignored. I told him of my plan, and he was more than delighted to help.
Once we landed in Florence, I felt his presence. I smirked. This was totally going to work. Maybe.
Hey, guys. The next three chapters are going to be set in Italy, so get ready. Also, I have something planned for when they get back to America ;)
