'Have you seen him yet?'

Sam sighed, turning to Daniel as he leaned over the workspaces to whisper. 'You seriously need to chill out, okay?'

'Okay I know, I know,' Daniel said, turning back to his own computer desk. Sam heard him tap a few more keys before daring to return to her own work. Which was probably wishful thinking as she felt Daniel turn his attention back to her, 'Okay but you met him before right? When you worked for the Boss when they were just Heist Master. What was he like?'

'Lord give me strength,' Sam muttered, bracing her head in her hands. 'He's S tier okay? He's the most terrifying person you're ever likely to meet. Why are you fanboying over him?'

Daniel blushed at that, but it wasn't enough to deter him, 'I'm not...fanboying. I'm just curious.'

'Well that's dangerous,' Sam replied, turning back to her screen. 'I had no idea you were so interested in him.'

'Well we couldn't talk about him before,' Daniel said.

'And now he's alive, you want to gossip?' Sam asked, quirking an eyebrow as Daniel looked away embarrassed. 'And you want to drag me down with you?' Daniel grumbled under his breath but Sam just rolled her eyes and turned back to her own computer. 'You're lucky Monday's busy on debriefs, because if she caught you right now she would never let you hear the end of it.'

'Oh my god,' Daniel cried, his blushing growing more intense, 'Please don't tell her? Or the Boss?'

'Then it'll just be safer to drop it okay?'

Daniel pouted but nodded, turning back to his desk, and Sam slumped in relief as she got back to work.

He lasted two minutes this time before breaking the silence again, 'Okay, but,' Sam slammed her head into the desk, groaning in despair as Daniel talked over her, 'I was going over the footage of the fight yesterday for the debrief, and, I know that the Boss started using more and more powers and that's going to make similarities, but do you think they mirrored their fighting style after him? Because the two of them were in perfect sync yesterday and...'

'Daniel,' Sam cut in. 'Please. I'm begging you. Do not even touch that can of worms.'

Daniel looked up in surprise, 'Wait...is there tea?' Sam sighed and Daniel scooted closer, all pretence forgotten.

'If there was you are the last person I would tell it to,' Sam said, deadpan, making Daniel pout again. 'Just, keep your head down. Do your job. And keep off S tier's radars, he will eat you alive if you're not careful.'

'Would I now?'

Daniel and Sam both jumped out of their seats, Daniel yelping at the new person standing right behind him. Dressed in a deep red shirt and black slacks, white blond hair styled with not a strand out of place, and with glowing yellow eyes watching Daniel with amusement. 'And why exactly would I do that?'

Daniel babbled, backing away quickly, blood freezing as Alex's mouth curled into a dark grin. 'Huh, you must be new here.' Daniel nodded, frantic but unable to make any other sounds, especially when Alex clasped his hands behind his back and leaned forward so he was looming over the poor minion. 'Then I should probably introduce myself properly right?'

'Alex!' Sam breathed a sigh of relief at the familiar voice of Morgan as Alex was suddenly scowling. He stood up, looking back to the other villain now coming to join them. 'What are you doing?'

'Introducing myself,' Alex smirked, and Morgan rolled their eyes at that. 'You have new faces, thought I'd say hi. I don't want to be rude after all.'

Morgan glanced over at Daniel and Sam, then back at Alex, 'They are my guys Alex. They are not for you to toy with.'
