At this point, Morgan was almost certain that they were dreaming. And what a dream it was. Alex's arm was around their waist, holding Morgan tight against him while his other hand cradled their head. Lips still pressed against Morgan's, chasing them for more kisses. And Morgan was more than happy to oblige, giving Alex every ounce of passion they could muster. Enough passion that Alex couldn't help but moan into their mouth, a sound that sent tingles dancing across Morgan's skin. Morgan couldn't barely breathe but they didn't care, they needed more. They couldn't break the moment, break the dream. Not yet.

A sudden alarm made the two of them jump however. Alex more so as the alarm sounded right next to his ear. Morgan swore, pulling back slightly. Alex whined, trying to pin Morgan to stay on his lap (which made them chuckle) while Morgan tried to manoeuvre for more room to check their gauntlets.

'Shit,' Morgan muttered. 'We need to move.'

'What? Why?' Alex looked up at Morgan. His glowing yellow eyes should not have been able to look that cute, but with the pupils blown from their make-out session and Alex's current pout, Morgan couldn't help but chuckle at the adorable sight.

Morgan gestured to their bracers, 'Low battery. I've only got a couple of minutes of heat-shield left-'

Alex snapped his fingers and a sudden wave blasted out of him. Morgan looked around in surprise, watching the ice in the room quickly thaw under Alex's power. Morgan grinned, tapping a button to turn off their own power. Only shivering slightly when the power left before Alex's heat enveloped them.

'Impressive,' Morgan grinned, wrapping their arms around Alex's shoulders again. 'Now, where were we?'

'I believe all my dreams were coming true,' Alex said.

Morgan snorted, 'You sap!'

Alex grinned, 'Weren't you the one getting excited about being able to declare your love for me?'

'Not the point!' Morgan giggled, leaning in to steal another kiss before Alex could continue to argue. Alex melted, yielding easily under Morgan's lips. Morgan captured his soft sighs of satisfaction as they carded their hand through Alex's silky hair. Alex's own hand started to trace up Morgan's back, making Morgan smile into the kiss. The heat rippled around them in time with their movements, making Morgan's cheeks glow. Or maybe that was something to do with how gentle yet firm Alex held Morgan close. Morgan pulled Alex closer, willing for the dream to overtake them again while their skin flushed hotter against Alex.

'Morgan?' Alex mumbled, the word nearly lost against Morgan's lips. They pulled back, close enough to feel Alex's breath catch, but far enough away to see Alex's expression.

When Morgan saw the uncertainty creeping back into Alex's brow they frowned, leaning their foreheads together. 'What's wrong?'

Alex paused, eyes unfocused as he wrestled with whatever thoughts were clawing at him now. Before he smirked and shook his head, 'It's nothing, don't worry about it.'

Morgan's frown deepened and they reached out to cup Alex's cheek. 'That's not how this works,' they whispered. Alex swallowed, glancing up at Morgan with something that looked suspiciously like fear. 'Whatever it is, I'd rather hear you say it than watch you bottle it up.'

Alex worried his lip against his teeth, 'It's...I don't want to ruin anything.'

Morgan held back a sigh, leaning up to press their lips to Alex's forehead. 'Then tell me.'

Alex was still tense, but he nodded, licking his lips. 'Does this feel...a little unreal? To you?'

Morgan's lip curled up slightly, 'Yeah. Yeah it does.' They leaned back to take in Alex properly. Stroking their hand through Alex's ruffled hair, watching the tension build in his shoulders. 'Two days ago you were dead. And now you're alive and kissing me and telling me you love me? Of course that's going to feel unreal.'
