Sneaking out the castle was easy. Combined with the fact that I'm a trained pirate as well as it being way too early in the morning for any sane person to be functioning means no one was awake.

If I couldn't do something as simple as this, it would bring shame to the Whitebeard pirates name and shame on the division commanders...

As well as a lot of teasing from my brothers which I did not want to deal with.

The sun was starting to shine on us from over the horizon. Yellow and blue started to overtake the previously dark sky as it was divided between night and day. The moon setting so the sun can rise.

A new day dawning.

My brothers, Ace and I run through the silent courtyard. Everything was quiet, even how we got to the end of the courtyard and jumped the tall fence that surrounded the castle with precision.

Again, not a sound was made while doing this.

Looking towards where the queen pointed us, we immediately sprinted off in that direction. Though the sleeping town where no one was awake, the blissfully unaware people of everything that went down last night. The chaos and madness currently going on at the palace.

How everything they've known on relationships with their parents was created on a fabrication. The truth would be a hard pill to swallow for most, but it can also set them free so they can focus on building a better kingdom.

"There's the entrance she told us about." I point at the two scarlet trees where the queen of this kingdom said nobody could go past and return from.

Ace was by my side and nudges my shoulder as we abruptly stop right before it. "Ready to go kick some ass firefly?"

I smirk being the first one to step past the threshold and look back at the others over my shoulder. "Born ready. Now will you whiny babies stop being afraid and step over?"

Marco narrows his eyes at me and then at Ace who steps past. "I'm being cautious. What if you stepped over and suddenly bombs went off?"

"Oh well guess I'm dead. Time to haunt Marco." I playfully respond.

"Y/n." He sternly says my name while crossing his arms.

I snicker. "What? I'm being serious. Haunting you seems like fun, except when you're fucking. In which case I'll kneel over the toilet and throw up." I state before looking up and thinking about it twice while blocking the mental image of Marco fucking anyone. "Actually I'll just throw up on you—"

"Stop." He places his hand out before returning it to his side and crossing his arms. "I don't want to hear this anymore."

A scoff comes from my parted lips. "Don't act like I don't keep you young." I teasingly say with a small smirk.

He's so easily irritated.

"You're the one whose going to single handily put me in an early grave." He retorts as our group get deeper into the forest.

I gasp out loud taking full offense. Me? Sending him to an early grave? I can send him to an early grave right now if that's what he wants!

My eyebrows furrowed as my lips turn into a sneer with the way my face scrunched up. A light burning in my chest reminds me of what he said and how the anger lingers.
