(^^^The song I listened to while writing this ❤️)
When I had entered Aphrodites room I knew exactly what to expect.
Her sitting on her bed staring off into space and overthinking all the little things that's been happening lately.
Not that I could really blame her.
So when I walked into her room only to see her sobbing into the ground clutching onto cotton, surrounded by destruction, with a guilty looking Athena standing behind her clutching papers in her hands it shocked me to my core.
My little Aphy, someone who never cries was sobbing her heart out on the floor surrounded by broken wood and ripped clothes.
It was at this moment that I wished so badly I didn't let Evelyn convince me into making the kids rooms soundproof.
My poor Aphy.
I didn't even realize when Athena left until I heard the door click into place.
I kneeled next to her side and just watched her.
I tried to get a closer look a what she was holding and the little pieces of cloth caught my attention instantly.
Is that what I think it is?
"Hey Aphy. What's that? What did she do?" I asked her softly.
Right now she was very fragile, and it's about time she got treated like the doll she is.
As soon as the question left my lips she leapt into my arms.
I was frozen in shock for a moment before coming to my senses and hugging her back tightly.
My eyes immediately started to leak tears.
The first hug I've ever gotten from her.
Sad it had to be during these circumstances.
At first I couldn't make sense of anything she was saying as her words were a jumbled mess all mushed together as she tried to rush them out.
I placed a hand on her back to rub it slightly to get her to calm down.
"Let it out Aphy. Dad is right here and I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here. Now can you take a deep breathe for me? Then tell me again what she did. Maybe Dad can fix it." I tell her softly not even bothering to wipe my tears.
She took in several deep breath's that were interrupted by her loud sobs and my heart clenched tight painfully in my chest.
"Sh-she ripped it. P-please fix it. P-please dad. It's the only happiness I h-have left and s-she tore it apart." Her loud sobs had my tears falling faster.
"Show me Aphy. Show me what Dad needs to fix and I'll do it in an instant." I tell her seriously.
She rapidly gets out my arms and still crying she frantically tries to gather all the stuffing and cloth on the floor and she lays her arms out to show the contents in her arms only to cry harder when the stuffing falls onto the floor.
