After Athena had stormed up the stairs there was only a few moments of silence before the incident.

The boys were being punished by dad and I was just watching as I usually do when the intercom beeped.

Everyone stopped what they were doing as the loud voices of Athena flooded the living room.

And what was said next hurt me.

Why are you helping me?" We here Athena say. Sounding like she was on the verge of tears.

"You don't love me. I was never enough for you Aphrodite. If I was, you wouldn't have left me. So why won't you just leave me alone now? I finally have a family Aphrodite. A real one. So why won't you just leave me alone to be happy with them? Do you think I don't deserve it? I don't do I? I mean they so easily accepted the fact that I wasn't enough. Is that true? Do you believe that too? Is that why you left me behind? Because I wasn't good enough? Was it because of how sick I was?" Forcing my eyes off the intercom on the wall I switch my eyes to Dad.

Trying to get a read on how he was taking this situation.

"Should we go stop them?" Raphael says softly.

All eyes focus on dad seeing what he would say.

"Y-"

He's cut off by the words of Aphrodite

"I love you Athena all I ever did was protect you. I'm sorry it never felt like it." Her voice sounded so defeated.

Like it was something she was so used to and I hated that tone in her voice.

She sounded so hurt.

"What is happening!" Mom demands suddenly sprinting into the living room after her time in the gym.

"We don't know.." Dad says sadly.

"You love me? You call what you did to me love?! You left me in that fucking orphanage. You went on to live your life while you left me behind! YOU STOLE THEM FROM ME!" Athena shouts. Anger easily detectable in her tone.

"Is that true?" Mom says her eyes tearing up for a second time today.

Her eyes scan the room before landing on the triplets and Ares and I can't help but feel like they knew about it.

"It's not our story to tell mom." Apollo says sadly. Picking at his hands as we listen to the fight happening between Athena and Aphrodite.

"They wanted me Aphrodite! They actually wanted a sick child and you were too greedy and too selfish to even think about me!" I could feel myself getting choked up at the thought that I was protecting the wrong person.

Did she only act that way towards Athena because she felt guilty?

"No I wasn't. I swear I wasn't." I hear Aphrodite tell her as soft as she can with her voice so raspy and rough.
