I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
It felt just like the last time she was in a hospital bed.
I couldn't take my eyes off of her in fear that the second my eyes leave her something bad will happen.
The bandages covering her body and the wires sticking out from her caused this deep seated hatred to form in my gut.
Not for her but the situation.
I hate seeing her like this.
It causes a bad taste in my mouth and it makes me angry to think about the environment she was in that is caused her to be hospitalized.
I heard the door open up but I didn't even think to take my eyes off of her.
The sound of the heart monitor put me at ease knowing that even though she was in a terrible position right now at least she was still alive.
I heard them before I seen them I kept my eyes facing Aphrodite as I knew if I even looked at them I would lose it.
I knew they had something to do with this, my gut has never lead me wrong so I've learned to truth it.
Even against them.
It was making me angry how they were just sitting in her hospital room when they were the ones that put her in here.
The atmosphere around the room was so thick it could be cut with a knife.
The silence was deafening the beeping of the heart monitor being the only thing keeping it from being dead silent.
It was like that for a few minutes before it was interrupted by Apollo.
"...so um what did the doctor say? Is she okay?" Apollo whispered breaking the tense silence.
I didn't move even an inch to look at him.
I knew looking at them would make me say something's I don't know if I'd regret but I'm not taking a chance.
"She's covered in chemical burns some will completely heal others will scar over, her air ways were constricted so for a few minutes her brain wasn't getting oxygen, she had a seizure, she also hit her head so she had to have 3 stitches put into the back of her head, an allergic reaction which caused her to develop hives and irritated her skin which didn't work well with the burns she has so it just made it worse. Then there's concern for her eyes." I had to stop myself at the end as I could feel myself getting emotional and angry at the same time.
"...h-her eyes? W-what's wrong with her eyes?" Mom says I could hear the tears in her voice.
Seeing as though I couldn't talk about it dad took over.
"To keep it short, there's a big chance that when she wakes up there will be damages to her eyes even going as far as saying that in the future she may become blind if she isn't already when she wakes up." Dad explains.
