Percy POV

I awoke with a jolt. My head was throbbing, and my vision was dazed. I tried to move but found he couldn't. I was tied by chains to the floor. The chains were made of a mysterious black metal, different than I have even seen before. My helmet was gone, and so was Riptide. That isn't good. The room i had found himself in was a typical prison cell. The walls were made of rock, moss covering them like a spiders Web. The ceiling was massively tilted at an angle and looked too natural to be man made. The floor i was chained to was rough, grey, and cold, seemingly made of rock. I was, I decided, being held at some mountain base. Maybe this was the one the leaders of this war are based out of? Though it probably isn't Kronos surely would be stupid enough to bring me there?

Then again, if they are truly led by primordials, why wouldn't he? Gaia was hard enough, and she was not even close to her full power. They could have decided to bring me here, and thereby show me what their base looks like and where it is, because it wouldn't really make a difference. If they were so confident as to do such a thing, we may not have much of a chance in this war.

But are they even involved in the war?

Judging off the letters I read from a mysterious 'P', the war seems to just be a distraction from a wider threat. Perhaps they weren't bothered with the war at all and were instead planning some secret attack.

"Of course they are!" I shouted, not realising until after that I had said it out loud.

How could I have been so blind?

Rex, Scar, and Bullseye told us ages ago that Kronos wasn't behind the power that be behind these forces. Yet all the information me and the other boys were able to find led all the war efforts back to Kronos. We still have gotten no closer to uncovering the puppet masters benign all this. But that's because they actually aren't involved in the war at all. 'P' was behind Kronos reforming, but after that, he basically let Kronos do his own thing. 'P' wouldn't care how Kronos waged the war because the war never mattered anyway. Like the letter said, they are using the war as a distraction to hit Olympus in a different way, a far more dangerous way. I need to get out of here. Olympus must immediately be warned of this revelation and told to back off from the war effort.

"Good evening, Mr. Jackson. It's been a long time, " Kronos said, suddenly appearing in the room, standing over me.

"Kronos," i growl, struggling against the chains

"Now now Mr Jackson, no need for such aggression. I am not here to harm you, I am simply transporting you to a meeting with some very important people."

I was no longer tied to the floor and instead had the chains around my hands like handcuffs. Kronos grabbed me by the throat and began dragging me out of the cell and down a corridor. He had his back turned to me. This was my chance. I delved deep into my power reserves and, as I expected, felt extremely drained. Something was clearly blocking me from trying to access my power. But the barrier they employed was, while very strong, breakable if i tried. It felt dazed and distracted, I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

I closed my eyes, focusing hard, as I tried to pull some of my power free for the invisible barrier. My eyes opened. It had worked. The floor turned to ice beneath Kronos' feet, and he slipped and fell on it. I expelled a flash of light to momentarily blind him while I drew on my strength to try and break the chains. They were strong, stronger than any other material I had encountered, but still no match for the God of strength. With a Snap! the chains broke and fell to the floor. Kronos jumped to his feet, and and stuck out his hand, stopping time completely around me. I was frozen in place, and despite my struggling, it seemed his grip on time around me only tightened. He stamped his foot, and the ice on the floor vanished.

"I must say I'm not very impressed, Jackson." Kronos said, sounding disappointed."Even your little underlings put up more of a fight."

I glared at him and struggled harder against his grip.

"Oh yes," He laughed, "that i must give you credit for. You trained your servants well. Torturing the little one was the most fun I've had in many years."

My anger rolled off me in waves as I tried again and again to summon my power and smash through his hold. But I was frozen in time, unable to do anything but watch.

"Just to make sure you don't try anything. " He said before snapping his fingers and teleporting us somewhere.

The darkness engulfed us for a fraction of a second before giving way to a large room. I was standing alert in an instant and noticed Kronos was no longer with me. But I was not alone. The aura given off by the beings that surrounded me made the Olympians look like children. It was intoxicating and stiffiling and put into perspective how weak i was in comparison. I thought my aura was intense, but compared to these entities, it seems like one of a normal mortal.

"Perseus, lord of animals, ice, swordsmanship, Magic and strength. Minor Lord of light and luck. We welcome you to our compound." Said a voice belonging to the being seated in the centre of the room. Who he was was an easy question to answer. His form, which flickered between 60-foot human and pure water, gave him away as Pontus Primordial of the ocean.

"Pontus," I reply. This was the man behind the raising of Kronos and the entire war.

"I see you know who I am, I trust your judgment will tell you also the identities of my associates. It is nice to meet you, young Lord, we have been awaiting your arrival for many months now."

I stood still, contemplating his response. If they truly have been long expecting me, I must heavily factor in their plan somewhere. But where? And how?

"What do you mean? Why have you been waiting for me?" I asked

"You're curious, I can respect that. But are you telling me you really haven't figured it out?"

"Am I supposed to have?"

I run all the information I know about the situation in my mind, but keep drawing blank on a conclusion. Pontus and the Primordials raised Kronos and the Titans to attack us. Using this to draw Olympus' attention, Pontus has planned something that we "won't see coming." But where do I come in?

Pontus laughs as I try to figure it out and mutters something about foolish gods. "If I were to tell you that while you will not be leaving, you will be kept alive and treated with the utmost hospitality, does that help?"

That doesn't help at a-...Wait. Oh shit what have I done!

"I see you have figured it out," said the being to Pontus' left. He was a very tall man, taller than Pontus, with joy back slicked back hair and an Italian suit. I couldn't quite place his identity. "I win Pontus."

"Very well, uncle, you may have his realm and titles. I am very disappointed in you, Perseus."

I was to struck by my complete failure to fully register what they said. How could I have been so stupid! Why else would I be here! They plan to use me to lure out some of the Olympians to make Olympus weaker for the attack. In the just over a year that I've been a God, I have made enough allies on the council that they shall probably vote to save me if Zeus takes it to a vote. Their plan will work, and Olymlus will be weakened, and its all my fault.

"Relax Persues." Pontus drawled, smirking at me. "Though you have disappointed me, i shall still extend my mercy. My offer of hospitality has not shifted. Even better, I will allow you to spend your stay with your fathiful luitenent Rex."

I don't respond. I hit him with my best death glare. For the first time in a long time, I'm completely helpless in this situation. The power difference between us is just too great.

"Goodbye for now, Lord Perseus. We will talk again soon after we have gone through with our plan."

Pontus snapped his fingers, and I was banished from the throne room. I landed in a ridiculously large suite with multiple flat screen TV's, King size beds, the whole nine yards. sitting on a chair in a corner, sharpening a knife, was my very good friend Rex.
