{TW: Blood}
{A Day Ago}
Third Person POV:
Eri was lying in her bed, wheezing through every breath she took. Her entire face was covered in red spots from the disease except for a small part of her jaw. There were sores inside her mouth and down her throat. Her eyes were open halfway. A large bump was right where her jaw met her neck. Her small body was frail and her skin was pale.
Her parents were watching her on the other side of the glass, in a separate room. Aizawa looked deep in despair, and Hizashi was holding his husband close to his chest.
"I have to go.." Hizashi whispers quietly. "A day trip. I'll be back by the night. Watch her until I get back."
Aizawa nods. There was a moment where Hizashi hesitated, but he left the room silently. Aizawa leaned forward in his chair, intertwining his fingers together. Eri coughed a dry, harsh, blood filled cough. Aizawa sat up in concern, but fell back into his former position when he saw nothing changed.
After a few minutes, Aizawa stood up with a deep sigh and left the room to get some water.
Eri took a rattled breath. She blinked slowly, black circles invading her already hazy vision. She blinked again, and suddenly there was a glowing woman in front of her.
The two stared at each other for a long moment of silence, only interrupted by Eri's weak heart monitor.
The woman stepped forward, her large black funeral cloak billowing behind her. Her long white hair covered her eyes, and touched the floor. Her skin was as pale as the dead.
Eri coughed again. Madulla moved right in front of the little girl's bed, and outstretched her hand.
It softly glowed, like it was welcoming the little girl.
Eri looked at it, before looking up at the woman's face. A small warm smile grew on Madulla's face, which was peculiar, since the rest of her seemed so cold. Eri cast a tired glance at the glass window where her fathers had just been, before reaching out to Madulla's hand.
They tapped fingers, and Eri felt all the energy she lost from her fight through the disease flow back into her body.
A light spread through the room, but not brightly, it was the same as the hand. Welcoming. Warm. Clear.
Eri smiled sadly, but let Death take care of her.
The noise of a flatline was what Aizawa heard when he entered.
His eyes widened in shock.
He dropped his glass.
It shattered against the floor.
He rushed over to the bed.
Shouts. Yelling. Blaring. Nurses rushed inside. They were not able to do anything, the princess was gone.
.Present.
Keigo entered a cavern full of criminals and villains and mercenaries. Basically all the cool people. Fuyumi, Izuku, and Tenko were hanging outside with the two guards, in disguises.
The blonde walked over to the bar, and sat down. He waved over to a bartender to get a drink.
"What would you like today?" The bartender asked as he came.
Keigo glanced at the drink menu. "I'll have a River Tonic." He says. He glanced back behind him. "Actually, I'll have two."
The bartender nodded, and walked away to make the drink. A second woman sat next to Keigo, glancing at the blonde with a smug look.
"Why are you here?" The woman asked, turning toward Keigo. "Thought you were prancing around with all those royals now, eh?" She laughs. The bartender comes back and places the two drinks on the table. "Hm, let me see that." She snatches one of the drinks away from Keigo and takes a sip. "Ah, River Tonic? Nice taste, Your Highness."
Keigo frowns in annoyance. "I'm not royal." He says, taking a sip of his drink. It was a strong kind, so he wasn't having a lot. "And I know you know something about my boyfriend, Kaya."
Kaya scoffs with a smile. "Your boyfriend." She repeats. "Yeah I know some bout him. Why?"
"I know you know something about his kidnapping." Keigo rephrased. He knows she was one of the most valuable people in this room, but also one of the most annoying.
"Sure I do." Kaya says.
Keigo groans in exasperation. Kaya smugly takes another sip out of her drink. "Can you tell me what you know." He says.
"For the right price." Kaya says with a Cheshire cat grin.
Keigo sighs. He swirls his drink in his hand as he thinks. Any price she asks for in something. He thinks. Usually not money.. Keigo sighs again, closing his eyes. "What do you want?" Keigo asks. "If you say what I think you'll say, absolutely not."
Kaya's grin widens. "Aw, that's a bummer, Key-go." She says, pronouncing his name wrong. "It's the only price."
"Literally anything but that." Keigo says. "I'd like all my blood in one place."
"Your blood or no info." Kaya says, shrugging.
Keigo sighs one more time. "Fine." He says. "I'll give you my blood for information." He says. Kaya giggles gleefully and chugs the rest of her drink.
She pulls out a knife and cup, and swiftly slices Keigo's arm. A gush of blood spills into the glass, and Keigo pulls away and starts bandaging. Kaya gulps down the red liquid quickly, leaving a drip down her chin. "Ah, that's better."
"Info?" Keigo presses with a raised eyebrow.
Kaya nods. "Hey, give me a break here." She says. Her smile fades into a thoughtful frown. "Your boyfriend's being held by this new group that just formed. Real brats. But they got the big gun with them, so no one can kill 'em."
"Who's the big gun?" Keigo questions.
Kaya clicks her tongue. "All For One." She says. "Heard he hired some capital elitist to grab the king and bring him to them. Now I'm not sure about the exact coordinates, but I heard their base is under this large lake by that famous waterfall." She taps her chin. "Uh, Salt River, I think. Yeah. Salt River Falls."
Keigo nods. "Yeah I know that one." He says. He stands. "Thanks, goodbye."
Kaya nods.
Keigo leaves the cavern and joins Fuyumi, Izuku, and Tenko. "I got a place." He says. "Now just follow me."
