I just wanted to add some points before beginning with the story.
Firstly this is my first time writing anything for a character like Mattheo who isn't actually an official character but a Fan made character, I hope I can do him some justice. I don't own Mattheo, original credits go to yasmineamaro
A lot of the plot of the original Harry Potter books/Movies will be different in my story, it's just for story purposes and my own personal preferences of how I would have loved to see some of the scenes/plot lines go.
Some teachers (Lupin Mainly) start at different points and Lupin remains a teacher at hogwarts in my story.
I'm also going to make Mattheo's mum unknown in this story and insinuate that he's been raised by the ministry (more details in the story). I'm also making him an only child and some of the teachers know of who his real dad is from the first day. Mattheo was raised by his father until his death (when he killed the potters).
The first few chapters will be about Mattheo and OC's friendship and how they become friends and navigated their friendships, it'll get into the more gritty stuff later
