We were in the carnival with Luke and Ashton all wrapped up in each other's faces. I've been watching them make out from across the table for like thirty seconds now and it was pissing me off so bad to the point that I wanted to kick them both from under the table. "Guys?" I asked in annoyance. Luke opened his eye to peek at me and slowly pulled away from Ashton which caused him to pout. Ugh, finally.

"So who's gonna buy food?" I asked, making Ashton look at me in confusion.

"Can you do it?" Ashton asked, giving me a small smile. As much as I wanted to say no, I was too caught up in him to decline.

I groaned, "Okay, fine then," before turning around to go to the food booth just across from our table. Just as I was about to walk away, Luke hurried up to his feet. "I'm gonna come with her," he told Ashton.

"B-but," Ashton started but he quickly cut him off. "She needs help carrying the food," Luke smiled at him cutely. I rolled my eyes at Ashton's incapacity of being alone for a short while. If Luke and I didn't meet through these circumstances, he'd be an okay person to me. I started walking away from the two but soon enough, Luke caught up to me, walking directly beside me.

"Hey, Carrie."

"Yo."

Luke laughed awkwardly, "I'm sorry for ruining your time with Ash," he looked down at his feet, "I know you hate me."

I looked over at Luke and saw how sincere his eyes were. He looked like a fucking lost puppy and I just wanted to hug him since he doesn't look very harmful and ugh, I'm having mixed feelings for this boy. "Damn it," I muttered under my breath.

"What?" He peered up at me.

I sighed deeply. I was probably being too kind towards him but unfortunately for me, I couldn't bring myself to hate someone as innocent as Luke. "It's nothing, uh, I don't hate you, don't worry," I said with much hesitance. What I said wasn't completely true but it wasn't also a lie.

"Really?" his eyes lit up, "For a moment there, I thought you hated me."

We finally reached the food booth a few meters from where we were sitting. Luke managed to drag me towards the hotdog stall where a black-haired boy with too many piercings on his face wearing a hotdog suit was dancing. "Get your hot hot hotdogs right here," he said in a monotone. Luke let out a small giggle when he saw the man dancing with so much hatred for the company he was working at. The man heard him laugh and glared at him from where he was at. "Get your fucking hot hot hot dogs right here," he growled, keeping his eyes trained on Luke. I looked at the name tag and saw his name was "Michael" or something like that.

I gave him a sympathetic look, "I'm sorry for my friend over here," I said.

"Michael's" eyes flickered from Luke towards me and immediately, his features softened. He narrowed his eyes at Luke once more before turning his attention towards me. "Is he your boyfriend or something?"

"Um, no," I said, looking over to Luke who was trying to hold back his laughter.

"Well," Michael raised an eyebrow at Luke, "Tell this douche to get the fuck off my face and quit laughing at me or else I'll force his ass into this fucking suit."

Luke kept on giggling, making me sigh. "Luke, just order the hot dogs, okay?" He looked back at the man with a goofy smile before walking away from the two us and to the hot dog stand.

"I'm sorry about him," I told Michael.

"It's okay," he shrugged, "He's a fucking little shit," he whispered while squinting his eyes behind me where Luke was ordering hot dogs.
