Loud foot steps and enchalant joyful laughs echoed trough the whole neighborhood.
Though, it didn't really bothered anyone since they already knew who these adorable sounds belonged to.
Rather being annoyed, they admired these two children full of life, playing around with each other almost on daily basis.

"Catch me Felix!" The small 6 years old boy shouted, running forward with a small happy chuckle.

"I will, j-just give me some s-seconds" the 5 years old responded, wheezing hard as he tried to catch up his friend's tempo.
Unfortunetly the small boy couldn't keep it up, his pace has slowen down with each tiny steps he could take and then out of sudden he completly stopped. Hands on his knees, head facing the ground as he tried to catch his unsteady breath.

The ravenette immediately noticed no one was chasing after him anymore so he had no choice but slowen down a bit, glancing behind his back curiously where he spotted his younger friend standing with an absolute pale face, almost being out of breath.

"Felix?" The boy inquired, a worried expression taking over his once happy one.

Felix didn't responded. Not like he didn't wanted to but simply just couldn't.
Currently he felt like standing on a big carousel which kept spinning like crazy. His vision was foggy and mind was unstable and in matter of seconds a black image greeted him, all the energy completly draining out of his frail, small body.

The boy found hard to even utter a word, instead a small squeek left his mouth with a loud thump following that after.

"Felix!!" The ravenette shouted in absolute horror, watching his freckled friend collapsing harshly onto the ground. He was no longer breathing nor moving. He looked completly lifeless. The ravenette rushed to his side without thinking twice, crouching down to his level, feeling a large terror thrive in his numb body.

"MOMMY!"

"Mrs. Lee?"

"Yes?"

"Your son has cancer"

The small boy was in total shock when his mother explained what cancer meant.

"Mommy? Will Felix be alright?" Hyunjin asked innocently, eyes still red and puffy from his earlier crying session for his friend who was now staying in a nearby hospital.

The woman dragged her lips into a sad smile.
Oh dear, she had to be careful what kind of answer she's going to give out to her 6 years old son. The other boy's state was bad and the chances of surviving currently stayed pretty low. Hyunjin might be young but not that dumb to understand someone important might lose their lives.

He may not know what is cancer about but feels it's going to take something valuable away from him.

The woman sighed, gently combing her fingers trough the boy's hair as Hyunjin eyed her in the most sorrowful yet curious way.
"I don't know sweetheart but let's hope for the best" Mrs. Hwang tried to reassure her small son, messaging his head tenderly so it will help him to calm down.
