Sachiel doesn't know what it is, but something changes.
He's been doing the same thing's he's been doing for the last month. Hiding her lighters, making sure Fia doesn't leave the oven on when she goes out. Making sure she doesn't accidentally hurt herself. He cares for her, and he worries. However something has changed.
It's like she notices, almost like she sees him, take the other day for example. When she left her report on her desk at home and he'd slipped it into her bag on their way out from her house. She'd been confused as anything when she'd found it in there when she got to her lecture. Relieved, but incredibly confused.
Or yesterday morning.
Fia had been in the bathroom brushing her teeth, the new lighter sat on the edge of the sink and while she'd been distracted, Sachiel had stolen it and thrown it away. Fia had reached for it only to find it gone.
The first few times, she'd been able to explain it, but this time she couldn't. She knew for a fact it had been there just seconds before. A chill slipped down her spine and when she glanced back up in the mirror, a black shadow passed behind her. She'd whipped around but by the time she'd looked, Sachiel had gone.
He couldn't understand why, when he'd come back, she'd been so jumpy.
He almost has a heart attack when she turns on the rings on the oven and goes to burn herself that way. He realises she's trying to distract herself, but he can't let her do that. Sachiel comes to realise, that no matter what he does to protect this girl, she does double to hurt herself.
He leaves the lighter in her purse.
