New chapter, this is five of eight.
Also dedication to @Eva_333 because of her comment on the last chapter was really lovely.

Sachiel can't even remember how long he's been here now.
He struggles to keep up with Fia, when she walks and he trails behind. His wings droop and drag on the floor behind him when they have to go anywhere, his head hanging and shoulders slumped. He physically can't take being here anymore. He can barely keep his mind focused on anything, well asides from her. It seems like his mind can't get off of thoughts of Fia, even when he passes into unconsciousness she's a prominent thought. She' there in his dreams smiling at him.
It's like he's dying all over again, the mindlessness of it all. He finds he can't even pay attention anymore, just follows blindly wherever his soul is tugged.
Maybe if he did pay attention, he'd have noticed.
He would have seen Fia's internet searches, regarding the feather and what it could have come from. Would have realised the conversation she was having with professors was her trying to figure out was going on. Would have seen the moment she'd almost fallen over in shock when the head of mythology studies had told her of angles, had shown her tales of them.
Would have seen how she began to put things together.
Her missing lighters, the way things kept magically being there when she needed them, how she kept being saved from small accident's, trip and falls and finally, the feather in her hands.
She strokes it gently on her way home, contemplating whether she can really believe that angels exist. That there could be someone there for her after so long. Could there really be someone watching over her? Was that what all these weird feelings were over the last month?
She doesn't know, but she's determined to find out.
