i didn't talk to her the previous day. i thought i'd do it slowly.
so today i thought of taking a step.
"hi piper" i said with a smile
she looked at me, amused. good, i thought, amusement was better than irritation.
"hi um...?"
"luke" i completed for her, surprised she didn't remember.
"yea yea luke sorry i forgot" she said and went back to studying.
"so i was wondering, do you want to go for coffee?" i asked tentitavely.
"um my mother has not permitted me to go for coffee with strangers" she said with a slight smirk.
i chuckled, "right" i said and went back to pretend reading.
