Chapter 5

Nudity

I let out a groan as I struggled to catch up to the boys. They were a great distance ahead of me and seemed to have forgotten about me.

"Can you guys slow down!" I called out to them.

They stopped and turned around to look at me.

"Hurry up, we don't have much time!" Crosshair called out to me.

I rolled my eyes and placed my hand on a tree. I let out a yelp as something sticky stuck to my hand.

"What is this-"

I felt a hand reach out and looked up to see Tech looking me over.

"How did you get here so fast?" I mumbled as he used a syringe to grab some of the substance off of me.

"What is that stuff?" Hunter asked as Tech cleaned my hand off.

"I don't know, but whatever it is. It has made (Y/n) incoherent." Tech said as I stared at him in confusion.

"What are you talkin-"

I went silent as I felt my tongue go numb. I licked my lips and let out a whine as I tried to regain feeing in my tongue. I started to mumbled something, but I could hardly make it out.

I didn't know it but today was going to be horrible and Crosshair would never let me forget everything that had happened. It would be something he'd bring up to bug me when I was pissing him off.

"One of us should take her back to the ship." Tech said as he fixed his goggles.

"I'll do it. I'm not really needed for this mission." Crosshair said with a huff.

"(Y/n) should regain the ability to speak in a couple minutes, just... don't take anything she say to heart."

"What's that suppose to mean?" Crosshair asked with a frown.

"Yea, what is that suppose to mean?" I thought as I stared at Tech.

"This sap, well it will effect her drastically, but only for a couple hours. (Y/n)... um well this sap effects the brain and changed peoples personality's." Tech explained.

"What's the worse that could happen? She already hates Crosshair."

"Yes but.. it will do the opposite."

"Maybe Crosshair shouldn't stay with her-"

"It's fine, let's go (Y/n)." Crosshair grumbled as he grabbed a hold of my arm and dragged me behind him.

We made it to the ship and he helped me sit down. I let out a huff and glared at him as he plopped down a few inches from me and pulled out a toothpick.

"You know, I think this is the quietest you've ever been." He said with a chuckle.

I opened my mouth to speak but couldn't say anything, which caused Crosshair to let out a laugh. I quickly flipped him off before crossing my arms over my chest and letting out a huff. I felt my body start to heat up and I let out a whine. I quickly removed my armor and long sleeved shirt, leaving me in nothing but a tank top.

"So hot." I whined as I rubbed my neck.

I was covered in sweat and I felt gross. I turned to look at Crosshair and felt my heart skip a beat as I saw his face beat red.

"Why are you so hot?" I asked with a whine.

His eyes went wide and he quickly turned to look at me.

"What did you just say?" He asked with his mouth hung open.

"I asked why you are so hot. It should be illegal." I grumbled out.
