I felt anger boil up inside of me as I glared up at Hunter.

"I can't believe you!" I yelled angrily.

Hunter was just as angry as me, if not more. I had screwed up and I knew it, but I wouldn't admit to my mistake, especially not to Hunter.

Since I had started joining them on missions again, I had found that it was hard to get back into a routine. When I was on my own I had no one to give me orders, but now I had Hunter breathing down my back.

"And I can't believe you! That was extremely stupid of you!" Hunter yelled angrily.

"I had it under control!" I yelled as I threw my arms up in the air.

"You almost died!" Hunter snapped as he slammed his fist into the wall next to my head.

"I was fine! You are just over protective!" I yelled as I crossed my arms over my chest.

We had been on a mission and I had almost gotten the door open, before Hunter grabbed me and dragged me away, costing us the mission.

"We were surrounded by troopers! Any longer and you wouldn't be standing here in front of me." He snapped. "You were reckless and you almost got yourself killed!"

"You guys are reckless every day!"

"There's a difference between us being reckless and you being an idiot! This is the last mission you are on! You're staying on Pabu from now on!" He screamed as he glared down at me.

"Go fuck yourself!" I yelled as I glared up at him.

I turned around and walked away, anger boiling up inside of me. I made it to the cockpit and plopped down on the floor.

I knew that I'd have to apologize to Hunter. I knew that he was just worried and that I had scared him, hell I scared myself with this mission. I had actually thought that I was going to die at one point, but I didn't want him to know that.

I laid on the ground with a frown on my face. I went to sit up but felt a sharp pain in my side. The pain had been bugging me since I had made it to the ship, but I thought that maybe I'd just bruised my side or something like that.

"Why are you on the floor?" Echo asked as he walked into the cockpit.

"I'm depressed. I had a fight with Hunter." I grumbled out.

I moved my hand to my side and felt something sticky. I slowly moved my hand away and saw a red sticky substance that could only be blood.

"Also I'm pretty sure I was shot, can you get Tech for me?" I asked as I reached down and put some pressure on my wound.

"Yea, just give me a second. I need to- wait you were shot!" Echo exclaimed.

He quickly rushed out of the room, yelling Tech's name. Right when Tech made it inside the cockpit I felt everything go dark, the last thing I saw was Echo rushing in behind Tech.

When I came to I was on a hospital bed. I looked around and saw Hunter sitting in a chair beside my bed, his face in his hands.

"Morning sunshine." I mumbled as I set up.

Instantly his head shot up and he let out a sigh of relief.

"You scared the hell out of us." He said as he climbed onto my bed and hugged me tightly.

"Sorry... guess you were right." I mumbled as I hugged him back.

"I always am." He said with a chuckle.

He pulled away and cuffed my cheeks, a small frown on his face.

"Hunter-"

He cut me off by leaving down and capturing my lips with his. I let out a sigh and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss.

"Never... scare me like that again." He whispered against my lips.

"I make no promises." I whispered as I sent him a smile.

He let out a chuckle and cuffed my cheeks, pulling me into another kiss. After awhile his hands moved down to my side and gently squeezed my hips, pulling me closer to him. I felt a sharp pain course thru me and I let out a gasp. Hunter quickly let go of me and took a step back, his eyes wide.

"I'm so sorry, I forgot all about-."

"It's okay. I'm fine." I said as I sent him a reassuring smile.

I gently raised my hands up and cuffed his cheeks. He let out a sigh and leaned his forehead against mine.

"So... where is everyone?" I asked softly.

"Home, they are waiting for word on you." He explained as I moved away from him.l

"How long have you been here?" I asked with a laugh.

"Since we brought you here. The others would have stayed, but I forced them to go home." He said as he scratched the back of his head.

"When was the last time you slept?" I asked as I shot him a glare.

"Three days ago."

"Come here." I said as I pulled him onto the bed.

He laid beside me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I let out a sigh and laid my head on his chest. I closed my eyes and smiled as I listened to his heart beat slow down. Soon his heart was beating in a steady rhythm, indicating that he was fast asleep. I looked up and smiled as I stared at his peaceful face.

I'd never get over how happy it made me to see him like this. Now a days it was rare to see Hunter sleeping peacefully, his mind was always stuck in fight of flight mode, seeing as the empire was always on our backs.
