A year later
I let out a sigh as I put my hands in my pocket. I had gotten a job shipping things from planet to planet and found myself on Pabu.
Pabu was a beautiful place, it was a great place to vacation and a part of me wished that I could stay, but I knew that I couldn't. So much had changed since I left the republic. The Jedi was being hunted and every day clones rebelled against the empire. I kept my nose out of the rebellion, not wanting to be dragged into another war.
I hadn't heard anything about the bad batch, but I kept in contact with an old friend who was keeping me informed. From what he knew, the bad batch wasn't in the empire anymore, and had been on the run for some time, but he had no idea where they were.
"Alright, let's get this stuff off the ship!" A voice called off from outside.
I walked off the ship and saw a woman ordering people around. She was a dark skinned woman with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair was up and she had a bandana around her head.
"You must be Phee. The names Cyar'ika." I said as I held my hand out to her.
"Nice to meet you, Cyar'ika." She said as she shook my hand. "Though that's a weird name."
"Well, I'm a weird person." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.
I saw two kids playing behind her and smiled softly. I couldn't help but to laugh as I saw one of them fall into a puddle of water, dragging the other one behind them. We walked up to them and I knelt down to help one of them out, while Phea got the other one.
"Thank you." The blonde girl said as she shook her head.
"Yea, thanks Auntie Phea." The other girl said as she rung her shirt out.
"You two should be more careful, you don't want to hit your head." I said as I sent them a smile.
The girl finally looked up at me and I went stiff. I'd see the girl before, on Kamino. She was Nala Se's assistant. The girl had gotten a lot taller, she couldn't be but maybe fifteen years old.
"I... you're... I can't believe-"
She went silent and stared up at me in shock. The kid looked like she was going to faint at any second.
"Everything okay, Omega?" Phea asked with a frown.
Omega said nothing and gave a quick nod. After what felt like an eternity, her face lit up and she started to bounce on the bottom of her feet.
"You're (Y/n) (L/n)!" She exclaimed.
"You must be confused, this is Cyar'ika." Phea said with a frown as she stared down at Omega.
"No, she isn't. Cyar'ika is my... business name. (Y/n) is my real name." I explained as I let out a sigh. "Why aren't you on Kamino, kid?"
"Oh it was blown up.. and I sort of escaped." She said as she scratched the back of her head.
"I see, how did you get here?" I asked as I knelt down.
"Oh the bad batch. They rescued me from Kamino." She said with a giant grin.
My heart stopped and I stared at her in shock. My mouth opened, but no words came out.
The bad batch was here? Had I missed them? Are they still alive? A million questions went thru my head as I felt my heart start to beat faster.
"Are... they still here?" I asked biting my bottom lip.
"No, they left for a mission. But they should be back soon." She said with a giant grin.
"How soon?" I asked as I looked around.
"I'd say they will be back tomorrow. You should stay and wait for them, I know they would be happy to see you." She said with a giant grin.
"I don't know.. I.. I really should get back to work-"
"Stay, besides it's gonna take my guys awhile to get everything off the ship. I'll have a room set up for you." Phea said with a smile.
"I-"
"Please, please, please!!!! It would make their day! They really miss you and I know they'd love to see you again." Omega pleaded.
"Okay, I'll stay. I don't have any more jobs lined up for awhile anyways." I said as I shook my head.
"Yea! Come on! Let me show you around!" She exclaimed as she grabbed my arm and dragged me behind her.
The kid was pretty strong, and extremely energetic. She was like a small version of Wrecker, which caused me to laugh as she showed me around.
After awhile it became night fall and I was exhausted, and she was too. We set down to eat and I found her asleep beside me, her head on my shoulder.
"Come on, kiddo. Let's get you to bed." I whispered as I picked her up.
Her arms instantly wrapped around my neck and she cuddled into my shoulder. I smiled as I carried her to my room and laid her down on the bed.
"Did you know... Cyar'ika means... beloved in Mando'a?" Omega grumbled out as she closed her eyes.
"No... no I didn't, kiddo." I said with a small smile.
I stretched and then left to change clothes in the bathroom. When I returned to the bedroom, I found her out cold and sprayed out in my bed. I let out a laugh and shook my head as I walked over to the couch and plopped down on it. I laid down and closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.
I couldn't help but to think of the boys how would the react? Would they forgive me for walking away? Did they miss me?
I woke up to someone shaking me awake. I let out a groan and set up, rubbing my eyes. Omega was standing in front of me, a giant grin on her face.
"Where is the fire, kid?" I asked with a groan.
"Get up! They are back!" She exclaimed. "The Bad Batch is back!"
"I'm up, there's no need to yell." I mumbled as I rose to my feet.
