Bad Batch's Thief

Chapter 7

It was normal thing for is to go out and get a drink, whenever we returned to Coruscant. Normally we'd be with Rex or Cody's battalion, but tonight they weren't here. So that meant it would just be us tonight. We all made our way to 79's and grabbed a booth.

Clubbing night was my favorite, because it was when I got to see the boys relax. Normally they were on high alert, but when we came here everything was fine and we had nothing to worry about, other than one of them starting a bar fight.

"I'm so happy to get a break." I mumbled as I waited for Wrecker to return with our rounds of drinks.

"Same, though I'm gonna hate it when we have to return." Echo said as he leaned forward.

"Yea, it's gonna suck." I said as I let out a groan.

"I bet they will put us on another suicide mission." Crosshair grumbled out.

Almost all of our missions were suicide missions. It was as if the republic didn't care to live the Bad Batch, which was stupid as they were the best squad and had the most successful missions.

Wrecker made it to the table and set the tray down. We all took a drink and downed it.

"Hey, come dance with me." I said as I stood up and grabbed a hold of Wrecker's hand.

"What, but I-"

"Come on!" I exclaimed as I dragged him behind me, cutting his sentence off.

I let out a laugh as I forced him to put his hands around my waist and we started to sway to the music.

"Stop being so stiff, loosen up." I said as I let out a laugh.

"I... don't dance that often." He said as his face turned red.

I let out a light laugh and smiled as we swayed to the music, Wrecker stepped on my feet and I let out a yelp.

"I'm so sorry-"

"It's okay, just.. follow my lead." I said as I grabbed a hold of his hands and placed them on my waist.

I pulled him closer to me and sent him a reassuring smile. He gave me a small nod and did as I instructed, causing me to smile up at him.

"See you're doing great, big guy." I said with a giant grin.

"Who knew you could dance so well." I said with a laugh.

"There's a lot you don't know bout me, Cyar'ika." He said with a sigh.

"What does that word mean? Both you and Crosshair have called me that." I said as I let out a laugh.

"Don't worry, just know.. it's a term of endearment." He said as he looked away from me.

I gave him a small nod and then the song came to an end and I pulled away from Wrecker.

"Okay, I need something stronger. I'm heading to the bar." I said softly.

"Okay, I'm gonna go back over to the guys." He said with a giant grin.

Before I knew it, I was wasted. I laughed as I downed yet another drink. I heard footsteps and turned to see a man walk up to me. He plopped down beside me and put a hand on the bar, leaving against it, and practically trapping me in my seat.

"Hello, beautiful. How about I buy you a drink?" A random man asked with a smirk.

"No thanks." I grumbled as I downed another drink.

I already knew this guy was a pervert, just by the way he didn't leave when I brushed him off. I couldn't stand men like him, who thought that just because I was sitting at the bar, I was free to bother.

"Ah, don't be like that babe. I don't bite." He said as he got closer to me.

A blaster was slammed down in between us and I turned my head to see Wrecker glaring down at the man.

I won't lie but my heart stopped as I saw fire behind Wrecker's eyes. I had never seen him so pissed off at someone, and I could only imagine the fear that was coursing thru this man.

"I do." Wrecker growled out.

The man's eyes went wide and then he turned to see Tech, Hunter, Echo, and Crosshair standing behind him.

Just like Wrecker, the boys looked angry and ready to start a fight. But unlike them, the man looked ready to run, which probably was in his best interest. Because anyone with a brain knew that they didn't stand a chance against five clone troopers, let alone my boys.

"Think it's time you leave." Echo said as he put a hand on the guys shoulder.

The man nodded his head and took off running, his tail between his legs.

"You okay, (Y/n)?" Hunter asked calmly.

"Yep. You know, I love you guys, you guys are like... the best thing that's happened to me." I said with a giggle.

"We are the best thing that's ever happened to you?" Tech asked in shock.

"Of course you guys are." I said as I playfully hit his shoulder. "You're my best friends."

I sent them all a giant grin and went to stand but nearly fell. Tech quickly caught me and put an arm around my waist.

"Now I'm starting to feel a little sorry for you." Crosshair mumbled as he rolled his eyes.

"I think that they have had enough to drink. Let's get you home." Hunter said as Tech helped me stand up straight.

I let out a groan as I latched onto Tech's arm, allowing him to hold me up. The boys led me outside all while keeping an eye out for any danger. I place my head on Tech's shoulder and let out a whine.

"I'm cold." I grumbled out.

Hunter let out a chuckle and pulled his jacket off. Hunter wrapped it around me and then we continued to walk towards my apartment, which had become like a second home to the boys.

"Tech, can I ask you a question?" Crosshair mumbled under his breath.

"Sure." Tech said as he kept a tight grip on my waist.

"Here, let me carry her. She is about to pass out." Wrecker said happily.

Tech gave a quick nod and handed me over to Wrecker. Instantly I wrapped my arms around Wrecker's neck and snuggled into his chest, a smile on my face.

"At times I get this weird feeling in my chest. I think my heart actually might be trying to jump out of my chest." Crosshair explained.

"And when would you say this happens?" Tech asked calmly.

"Whenever I look at (Y/n). Sometimes it happens when she just smile at me or simply laughs."

Hunter let out a laugh and shook his head.

"It's called love, and it happens to all of us. You're not the only one who gets that feeling." Hunter said calmly.

"Yea! I get it when she is just talking to me." Wrecker said cheerfully.

"I get it when she is taking up for us." Echo said calmly.

"I get it whenever she listens to my rambling." Tech said as he fixed his glasses.

"When she hugs me, I get the feeling. She really has changed all of us." Hunter said softly.

"Yea, I hate it. I think if anyone tried to touch her, I'd burn the whole galaxy to protect her." Crosshair said as he moved a strand of hair out of my face.

"We all would." Tech said softly.

I wouldn't remember a single word that they said in the morning, and non of them would tell me what happen at the bar, they simply told me that I had to much to drink and that they walked me home.
