I headed back to my hotel room, my heart swelling with joy. Mya and I were finally on the same page about giving our relationship a real chance. After years of friendship, she had opened up to me in a way I never expected.

As I slid the keycard into the slot, I noticed the door was already ajar. Cautiously, I entered to find a figure bathed in moonlight, gazing out the window. She turned slowly, her face an icy mask.

My stomach sank. The last person I wanted to see was her.

"Pink! What are you doing in my room?" I demanded as I turned on the lights.

Pink flashed a predatory smile. "Surprised, Usher? I have my ways of getting what I want."

I swallowed hard, pulse racing. There was no telling what she might do to me. I edged towards the phone, ready to call security. "Again, what are you doing here?"

"I just wanted to talk." Pink wandered the room, trailing her fingers over surfaces. "I came to apologize. I shouldn't have blown up at your little girlfriend the other day at rehearsals."

I stiffened, wary of revealing too much. Mya and I weren't officially together, but I didn't trust Pink enough to share that information. My blood ran cold, "You need to apologize to her, not me. Get out before I call security."

"Struck a nerve, have I?" Her eyes gleamed with malice. "I don't like being ignored, Usher. I've had my eye on you since first met weeks ago. Seeing you with her drives me...". She eerily moved in close, breath hot against my neck. "Crazy."

Before I could react, she leaned in and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. I froze, stunned by her boldness. Pink pulled back, surveying my startled reaction with a sly smirk.

I shoved her away, pulse thundering in my ears. "Leave. Now."

Hurt flickered across Pink's face before hardening into a mask of spite. "Think about it," she purred. "She's not the only one who wants you."

Pink brushed past me out of the room, leaving behind the scent of her floral perfume, but paused in the doorway, "I'll be keeping an eye on you two." Pink left with an ominous smirk, filling me with dread.

Moments later, I paced the room, unsettled by Pink's bizarre intrusion and sudden confession of affection as I contemplated calling security. But that would only cause an even bigger scene, and I wanted to avoid further drama and publicity tonight. Her kiss lingered, a brand that marked me as hers - or so she believed. But my heart belonged to Mya alone.

I turned the shower on as hot as it could go. Stepping under the scalding spray, I stood there until the water ran cold, hoping the heat and steam might clear my head. But it did little to wash away the memory of Pink's lips upon my cheek. Such a simple, fleeting kiss, yet it left me filled with dread.

Not because I feared Pink herself, but for what her misguided feelings might drive her to do.

The next morning, I made my way to the hotel lobby to meet Mya for breakfast as planned. I spotted her waiting by the front entrance, the sunrise gilding her profile and bringing out warm highlights in her hair. At the sight of me, her face lit up with a radiant smile. My anxiety melted away, replaced by joy at being near her again.

"Good morning," Mya said. "Did you not sleep well? You look tired."

"I'm good. Fell asleep late last night."

She greeted me with a quick kiss on the cheek - in the exact spot where Pink's lips had lingered just hours before. I froze at the contact, and Mya drew back, studying me with concern.
