The sun was just starting to peek through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. The sound of the birds chirping outside added a serene ambiance, making it feel like the world was slowly coming to life. It was a beautiful morning, and waking up to Aaliyah's loving gaze and gentle kisses on my cheek and neck made it even more magical.
"Rise and shine," she sang softly. She took a quick second to scan my face.
"You look so cute when you're sleeping," she whispered.
"Good morning," I rubbed my eyes, trying to adjust to the morning light, and smiled back at her.
As we lay in each other's arms, Aaliyah snuggled closer to me, her head resting on my chest. I could feel her warm breath against my skin and I couldn't help but feel content.
"Got any plans for today?" she asked, breaking the silence.
"Nope. I don't have anything scheduled. What about you?" I replied, playing with her hair.
"I'm free. Maybe we can go walk around later? It's a beautiful day outside," she suggested.
"Yeah it is. We could also go to one of those drive-in movie theaters tonight. I wanna watch Juno," I said, smiling.
"Ooh I heard that movie was good, I'm down," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
We continued to make small talk for a moment before getting up to freshen up in her bathroom. As I was brushing my teeth, I noticed that Aaliyah was leaning against the sink counter and seemed to be studying my body. I felt a bit self-conscious, but I couldn't help but feel hot under her gaze.
"Do you mind?" I bashfully asked. We were staring at each other through the mirror.
Aaliyah came up behind me, squeezing me with her arms around my waist as she rested her chin on my shoulder. The skin to skin contact made me feel at ease. "I can't help but stare. How are you feeling?"
"I'm a little tired," I replied, yawning. "If you were referring to last night, honestly, I can't put into words how you made me feel."
I couldn't help but feel flustered.
She replied with a reassuring smile and a few kisses up my neck, "Do you feel like you've learned something, at least?"
She let go of me to tilt her head into the sink as she washed and rinsed her face with soap. How could she be so calm and collected in this moment?
"Yes, I...maybe, I think I have," I answered, the hesitation slipping away from my voice.
"That's good to hear. So, do you think you'd be ready to return the favor?"
The thought of trying to give her the same satisfaction she gave me last night sent a wave of anxiety through me. How could I possibly measure up to her expectations?
