OT7 - Jay Centric [M]

Enhypen were currently in the middle of an interview during their promotions, and usually Jay would be all energetic and speaking as much as he could, but he wasn't. It had been a long day full of a performance and what feels like countless interviews. He was currently seated on a chair beside Sunghoon while Jungwon answered whatever question they had just been asked. 

"Jay?" And then suddenly all eyes were on him as they waited for his answer. He froze, eyes widening ever so slightly as he looked over to see Sunghoon with a slightly concerned gaze. 

"What are your thoughts about our album Jay-hyung?" Jungwon asks. Jay felt sort of dumb that it was clear he hadn't been paying attention. In hopes of pulling off looking normal, Jay just chuckles for a second before answering the question. He mentally scolds himself after the focus is taken off of him, and forces himself to pay attention the rest of the interview. 

The interview ended as the group politely stood and bowed to the interviewer, thanking them for their time before they were guided off the set. Jay just followed the group, having been sat on the end he was the last one to file out. 

He wasn't even thinking about anything, just focusing on the feet of whoever was walking in front of him. He didn't even register them stop as he continued to walk forwards, evidently crashing into the person and stumbling against them. 

He's almost falling before arms are gripping onto his elbows, holding him up. He glances up sheepishly to see Heeseung looking down at him with his eyebrows furrowed. He helped Jay stand back upright before swiping his hand once through the younger's hair as if there was something in it. 

"Are you alright Jay-ah?" He asks, having also noticed how out of it the younger seemed to be throughout that interview. Jay just widened his eyes before smiling up at Heeseung. 

"Oh, sorry hyung! I'm fine!" He tells the elder, plastering the smile so wide on his face he knows that it looks fake to his hyung, but Jay was so tired right now the only thing he wanted to do was get back to their dorm and lock himself away in his room and sleep. 

"Jongseong-ah," Heeseung started, but Jay cocked his head and smiled again at his hyung before palcing a hand on his arm. 

"Hyung, I'm just tired, okay? I'll just rest when we get back to our dorm." Jay tells him, and Heeseung nods once before looking as if he remembered something. 

"Jay, you have another interview after this. Then we'll be done." Heeseung tells the younger and he can see the look in Jay's eyes change from relieved to tensed once again. Jay still had a small smile on his face but this time it was strained. He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again, cursing to himself that they were slightly teary. He nodded once, taking his hand back from his hyung's arm. 

"Okay," he whispered, laughing slightly as he glanced around. He was so incredibly tired he had felt like he was about to fall over this entire interview. And now they had another hour, probably more, left until they would be allowed home. 

"Jay-ah, I can ask to reschedule it." Heeseung told him earnestly, now both of his hands grasping at Jay's arms. Jay shakes his head, might as well get it over with. 

"It's okay hyung. It's just one more." Jay tells him before beginning to walk away, taking Heeseung's hand in his before tugging it slightly. "Come on." 

But Heeseung hesitates for a moment before letting Jay pull him out of the building and into the second van. The maknaes and Jake had taken over the first van while Sunghoon was waiting in the second, just scrolling on his phone.
