Heeseung didn't know what he did wrong.

He had racked his brain for everything he had done in the past couple of weeks, but he couldn't really think of anything. Maybe he had done something he didn't realize. Maybe he overstepped a boundary, said something uncalled for. He had spent more time thinking about it than thinking about dance practice or his vocal lessons.

"Hyung," someone was calling his name. Heeseung finally looked up to see Jake looking at him with a worried expression on his face. Heeseung had momentarily forgotten that it was currently two a.m. and Ramyeonz was sitting at the kitchen counter eating ramen.

Heeseung had been getting so lost in his head that he was getting distracted from doing things he literally does all the time.

He shook his head, blinking for a moment before looking over at Jake and shoving the noodles into his mouth with a hum. "What?" He asks, his mouth full of the delicious food he's so glad Jake knows how to make better than he does.

"Are you alright hyung? You've been acting a little spacey for a while now. Is something going on?" Jake asks, his chopsticks resting down against his bowl and his full attention on Heeseung. The elder didn't know how to respond, didn't know how to put together the words of worry that have been eating at his conscious for the past two weeks.

Heeseung looked back at his food, eating in silence for a minute before putting his chopsticks down with a sigh. He closed his eyes, rubbing a hand tiredly across his face before he's looking back at Jake. The younger still had his utensils down, his attention still completely on Heeseung.

"I'm fine," is how Heeseung clarifies it. He flexes his fingers before he reaches for his water, silently drinking it as Jake waits for him to elaborate.

He doesn't want to.

"Hyung," Jake's hand reaches out and rests against Heeseung's elbow that was on the counter, "you can talk to me hyung, that's what times like this are for." Jake reassures him, and Heeseung chuckles for a moment, covering his face again.

He really tries to put together a way to tell Jake without giving anything away. Not that he even knows what information he's trying to withhold.

Heeseung folds his hands together, glancing at the hallway of their dorm before looking back at Jake.

"Is Sunoo mad at me?" He asks. The question is sudden, out of the blue for Jake because he had not noticed anything and did not expect Heeseung to ask that. He thought the elder was dealing with a personal struggle, maybe something serious.

Jake shrugs, picking up his chopsticks again. "Um I don't think so? Why? Has he been acting different?" Jake asks, resuming eating his ramen as he looks at Heeseung with wide and curious eyes.

Heeseung just sighs in defeat, not sure if it's a good or bad thing that Jake hadn't noticed anything of the sort. The eldest is sure something is different though.

"Uh," he hesitates. Should he just laugh it off? Pretend it's nothing? Even though it's something that has been bothering him for a while now.

"Yeah, he just seems a little," how does he put it? "Colder? Around me? Like he acts fine when we're in groups, but he kind of ignores me or avoids being alone with me. I dunno, maybe it's nothing." He shrugs and Jake is quiet for a moment as he thinks about it, really thinks back to the last time he saw the two talking.

And he can't remember.

"I don't think I remember the last time I saw you guys talking." Jake tells him honestly. Heeseung frowns, pulling at the ends of his hair. Is Sunoo mad at him?
