Ryder: What?

Tally: Wrong person.

Ryder: Haha, you sure move on soon.

Tally: I'm sure you will too.

Whatever text he sent, I didn't read. I copy and pasted the text to Antonio and got an immediate response. Tomorrow?

Tally: I have work.

Antonio: I'll come to your place then.

Tally: I have to clean this place up in order for you to do that.

Antonio: Don't worry about it, doll. I just want to see you.

Tally: Okay. Talk tomorrow.

Antonio: We better! <3

I know that jumping from the fire into the frying pan was a bad idea going from one man immediately to another one, but I liked how Antonio treated me. He was not like any other man I have met. He's sincere, caring and seems to really actually care about me, but I didn't want to get my hopes up and, in the end, getting my heart broken. But there was only one way to find out.

*** The next day: The morning and afternoon flew by until I had to get ready to go to work. Around midnight, Antonio showed up at the bar. "Surprise."

"Hi."

He smiled and just as he went to kiss me, I shook my head. "Not here."

"Fine, we can do that later."

"Yes."

"When can you leave?"

"My shift ends at 1:30."

"I'll stay until then."

"Oh, you don't have to."

"I don't mind."

"If you insist."

By the end of the night, I walked out with 1500 dollars' worth of tips and as we went outside, I noticed a white car pull in the parking lot and I recognized it out of anywhere. Ryder.

"Are you going to say something?"

"No."

He got out of his car, and I was able to leave before he could stop me. I wanted nothing to do with that man.

"Antonio?"

"Yes?"

"Can I umm, stay with you?"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mean... you don't have to say yes."

"Of course, you can. Stay as long as you would like."

It was probably a bad idea, but I felt it was the only way to keep myself safe from Ryder.
